Now compare the number of women who die or must be hospitalized from complications due to abortion (less than .03%) and the number of women who die due to complications from pregnancy, childbirth and c-section and see which one is higher.

The only reason this one death due to complications from abortion is news is because abortion is so stigmatized and pro-lifers have an agenda to push, so they draw attention to it, yet all the thousands of women dying every year in childbirth continue to go completely ignored.

You should have titled this thread: "Planned Parenthood claims yet another victim"

This has happened before, several times. Some of these abortion clinics are clinics of DEATH (not only for the little unborn lives but for the women as well)

And in comparison pregnancy and childbirth are the leading causes of maternal deaths worldwide. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

    Great post and true!

I think this should be especially noted ...""""In the U.S., we spend more than any country on health care, yet American women are at greater risk of dying from pregnancy-related causes than in 40 other countries, """"

Pretty pathetic in the "World's Greatest Country"....and something the Righties, of course, don't care about...

Not only are they now murdering women at planned parenthood, but they murder up to 700,000 babies a year there as well. And to think we tax payers are funding such pro death destructive entities as this is simply unconscionable.

It's the best thing since sliced bread to them. Abortion is like an aphrodisiac to this group. They embrace it, love it, champion women who do it....

Could you site the facts....the source on this.

If true...might be the fact that women in America live on the edge...more promiscuous sex, alcohol and drug use that would lead to trouble.

    This is what I found.

"The United States is among the world's richest nations, but compared to 16 high-income peers, Americans don't live as long, they have more diseases and they are more apt to be injured."

Not just women...but overall health care. We have more diseases. Why? So if this is true than the health of the woman might have been an issue before she even got pregnant.

"Those health disadvantages hold true across all ages from birth to 75 and economic statuses, according to a report from the National Research Council and Institute of Medicine. It said even advantaged Americans — the insured, well educated, wealthy and those with good health habits — fare worse healthwise than their peers in other rich nations."

""The U.S. health disadvantage cannot be attributed solely to the adverse health status of racial or ethnic minorities or poor people, since recent studies suggest that even highly advantaged Americans may be in worse health than their counterparts in other countries," it said. The problem is worse for those who are poor, but in each economic category other peer countries fare better."

So this does not just concern the poor.

"America did badly by comparison to peers in nine categories, including bad birthing outcomes that ranged from low birth weight to high infant mortality numbers; injuries and homicides; teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted illnesses; HIV and AIDS; drug-related deaths; obesity and diabetes; heart disease; chronic lung disease; and disability."

"Among possible reasons cited in the report are communities built for vehicle travel, rather than walking or biking, American patterns of food consumption, risky behavior by American adolescents, stressful environments and polluted air, among others."

    http://www.deseretnews.com/article/...ries-US-health-poorer-lives-shorter.html?pg=2

HERE IS MORE from the government......

    http://www.cdc.gov/reproductivehealth/MaternalInfantHealth/Pregnancy-relatedMortality.htm
    In the United States—

"Of the 3,319 deaths within a year of pregnancy termination that occurred in 2006 and 2007 and were reported to CDC, 1,294 were found to be pregnancy-related.
The pregnancy-related mortality ratio was 15.1 deaths per 100,000 live births for the period 2006–2007."

Compare this to how many abortions take place a year...how many live births a year that went ok....and the numbers are low.

If pregnancy was that dangerous....no woman would do it.

I don't love abortion. I love debating abortion rights, the topic has fascinated me since I was young, as has pregnancy and childbirth. I have always been interested in midwifery and natural birth, and am interested in women's rights regarding their bodies and so on. This is the truth. If you continue to make outright lies about me or anyone else on this forum I will report you for it. It is rude to make such stupid assumptions and continue to think you can get away with it.

Either debate the topic or get over it and leave. We're all quite tired of you taking pointless jabs at us on a personal level and then running away and behaving as if you did nothing wrong. It's rude and immature and terrible forum etiquette.

You want it legal...its the same thing. You even want it legal throughout the entire pregnancy do you not? You love putting down those who are pro-life and you champion the people who like you want killing legal, because you want women to have power. This is just one way. Natural birth....why on earth would you be for that? Your for killing unborns...which is so unnatural and you want natural childbirth. Like why would you want a woman to enjoy pain for crying out loud. I suppose your against medicine, epiderals...and think the women that get them are robbed of the glory of childbirth. LOL

I am not making anything up...certainly not lies. I will from now on...put IMO in front of the statement...because THAT IS THE TRUTH THE WAY I SEE IT. I always debate the topic...and you will not threaten me. I could care less and do not kiss the ass of anyone here to make friends. Not my style. If you don't like me or what I say....put me on ignore...otherwise get over it.

Yes and I am willing to pull up facts and debate the subject rather than make personal attacks against you for no reason at all.

Do I now? You have proof of this?

Stop being ridiculous and stop making assumptions about what I believe or what I "champion". I want women to have full medical authority over their own bodies and I don't ever want to see that stripped from them just because they are pregnant. This is the truth, these are the facts about what I BELIEVE. Now STOP making assumptions about what goes on inside my own head as if you really know. You have absolutely no clue about my thoughts or my feelings.

Because I believe if you are going to bring a child into this world you should give them every chance to be as healthy as possible. Natural childbirth from what I have read is by far much more healthy for the neonate and for the mother. I know it's difficult for you to understand what goes on in my mind, but that's only because you have already made up your ridiculous personification of me.

Ah church, you have a serious problem with making assumptions now don't you? You just keep doing it over and over to no end really. It's very sad that you absolutely refuse to just ask honest questions without adding in your personal assumptions about me now isn't it.

Did you forget I am pro-choice? I believe that a woman should be free to choose however she wants to give birth without the interference of others, whether it is naturally or with drugs in a hospital. I personally will not choose that for my own pregnancies someday because I don't believe it is safe or healthy.

Sorry but every time you say things like, "You just LOVE abortion!" you are lying. I do not love abortion, I have clarified this many times over. I certainly love to debate it and in all realty like every normal human being I wish it did not have to exist at all. I wish that not a single unplanned or unwanted pregnancy occurred ever as that would forever solve the issue of abortion. But since I live in reality and from my life experiences I understand there is a need for abortion. I champion freedom and liberty.

I don't care if it is your opinion and I do not care if that is how you think you see it. I will continue to correct your LIES and MISTRUTHS about me or anyone else on this forum.

No church, everyone here has had absolutely enough of your BS. You don't even bother to debate. You just post stupid one liners and go on a ranting flamebait, rave the absolute vast majority of the time. I am fed up with it and I am even more fed up with your little games where you tip toe around the rules and regulations and say nasty things about people, just masking all the nasty things you want to say to our faces so you won't be banned. I have had enough and I am going to point them out to everyone and make it absolutely clear that is what you are doing.

I refuse to ignore people like you who intentionally play these stupid games and get away with the same old bullcrap over and over.

Oh I see, now its about my lack of conscience of having 700,000 murders performed yearly. Tell us of your conscience regarding the outright slaughter of human life at that magnitude. Do tell!

Libhater, what are your thoughts on the fact that, "Every day in the U.S., more than two women die of pregnancy-related causes, with the maternal mortality ratio doubling from 6.6 deaths per 100,000 births in 1987 to 13.3 deaths per 100,000 births in 2006."

    http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1971633,00.html

And the fact that only .03% of complications arise from abortion? You have to remember a woman only has two choices once she is pregnant. She must either carry to term or end her pregnancy and considering ending it is by far much safer when you compare the numbers how do you justify taking away a woman's right to protect her own body?

Complications? There isn't any facet of life that isn't filled with complications. I never was good with math and or percentages (unless they give me an advantage..sarcasm intended), ergo, your statistics are meaningless to me. I take my marching orders from GOD ALMIGHTY and I live life accordingly. Having said that, I do have a pretty good sense to what is right or wrong, what is effective or non effective, what is productive or non productive and what is morally right verse morally wrong.

I am sympathetic to anyone having medical problems. The stats you give here make me think that you have a problem with women getting pregnant in the first place, for your entire argument seems to favor the woman aborting her child, rather than to have her carry the pregnancy through to its complete term; a full term that would or could face the real threat to her life as a woman. So you believe the woman needs to protect her own body by either not getting pregnant in the first place, or if she does get pregnant--she should abort immediately before complications come into the fray. If every woman thought and acted the way you do, then we as a people would have zero population growth. Tell me, were you related to or at least sympathetic to the QUAKERS? You don't have any children of your own, do you?

That is really fascinating and all but not everyone believes in your deity, I certainly do not. Also I live in a country where the first amendment of the Constitution declares that there shall be no laws respecting the establishment of religion, so religion in regards to laws is totally irrelevant to this subject at all in my opinion. You may certainly use your religion to determine abortion is not a choice for you, however you cannot use your religion to determine it is not a choice for others especially if we do not follow or believe in your religion.

I am in favor of women having a real and educated choice in the matter. Abortion is by far much safer than carrying a pregnancy to term, however if a woman wishes to take on the risks involved with pregnancy then that is her choice and I have no qualms about it. What I have a problem with is when people wish to take away a woman's choice regarding pregnancy, abortion or how she wants to carry to term.

    See above.

See above once more. You have made far too many assumptions about my position and thoughts and have not even remotely answered the question. Considering the risks involved in both choices of pregnancy, abortion and birth how can you justify taking away a woman's right to choose what is best for herself?
