LOL If you were attempting to breed animals, would you just randomly throw a couple of males together and hope for the best? Maybe even scratch your head when nothing happened? It's confusing, isn't it.

There is male and there is female. That's not to say that male would prefer to be female. He may even take hormones and dress like the female. However, in the end, he's still male.

Pictures of males who have been taking female hormones/male hormone blockers, had multiple surgeries, grew their hair out and plastered on make-up, THIS is your proof of "transgenders"? Maybe PP should show the 4 year olds these pictures to help persuade them.

@ the moment, the first bolded is mostly true. Surgery can mimic the form of either set of genitalia, & possibly even hook up the nerve endings. A 100% functional switch in genitalia would require cloning of tissue, plus germ tissue - something beyond our science @ the moment.

Even if PP is posting this information, they're positing a medical/technological future that seems unlikely. The antibiotics we have currently are losing effectiveness - massive surgical interventions (such as voluntary changes of apparent gender) will very soon be a thing of the past.

Unless we have massive breakthroughs in new antibiotics or cloning or learn to control tissue regeneration on demand - some such game-changing technology - I think surgical gender switching will soon be abandoned. We simply won't have the expertise & ORs & meds to spare to throw @ the problem.

I am saying there is a trans gender. This is nothing new.
There are also hermaphrodites. Nothing new. And they exist. And by definition, trans is not really specific.

Because as you said, they are great people working hard and family orientated.

The story @ the OP URL says that the information referred to above is contained in a PP website. That means that the parents (or whoever's looking) had to go looking for the information.

 

PP may be reaching new parents, that's certainly the point of putting their message up on a webpage. Do preschoolers have access to a webpage? I seriously doubt that. & even if they do - I doubt that any argument, however persuasively designed, is going to have much effect on a preschooler's mind.

It would be more to the point to put up pictures of babies & flowers & kittens & puppies, something along the lines of the Teletubbies series back a bit.

 

I'd imagine some taxpayers want it funded.

 

If this kind of stupidity continues being pushed there is going to be a valid reason to call a halt to all of this cross sex business. Tolerance is one thing...a constant push to transform our whole culture was not a part of the agreement and there will be pushback...and I for one will support it.
