I want America the way it used to be 100 years ago but with all of todays technological advancements. jobs here, no unfair trading with slave labor nations etc. I think you get the pic. my question: who should I vote for in November? someone just suggested "anyone but Obama", hmmm ok, sounds not bad, but more specifically.... "anyone but Obama ON ESTABLISHMENT MEDIA" or anyone but Obama period? would someone not on establishment media (Fox, CNN, MSNBC, ABC) be also ok to vote for or WOULD THAT BE A WASTE OF VOTE?

Please discus and advise, since this is quite a serious topic, and I am not trying to sound smart or anything, it's just that all candidates seem anti establishment and pro change, yet all the ones I am seing are on the same establishment media, I'm wondering JUST HOW POPULAR they would all be now if they would have been ignored by the media just like I was?

You can always write in William Howard Taft on the voting form.

Imagine a few corporations running the majority of America's business. That is what you would have. Zero competition, one company can dictate everything with no government intervention.

The name Harold Stassen comes to mind as the perfect candidate.

So you want all the benefits of high productivity without the high productivity?

Well, let's see. There's the Tooth Fairy, who will promise you something for nothing. That describes (almost) all of the candidates. Just pick the one with the most engaging smile.

No genius, I want what I have for the rest of decent civilization which I see as being oppressed and turned into serfs in order to benefit the few. what you want is just to sound smart.

You want "jobs here", but demand that they be the sort of jobs that are being driven out by ever increasing productivity. If this were the early 19th century, you'd insist that everyone go back to their farms as the agriculture industry jobs dry up while still insisting that we keep the advantages of industrialization. You want to end "unfair trade" but insist on the power to interfere in the voluntary exchange between two parties. Is it fair to make people act involuntarily according to your economic agenda?

Theodore Roosevelt sounds about right for you.

He's dead. But I am sure that won't worry you.
