Please explain how you can vote for Trump. Can you admit the real reason?

As a Republican/Conservative, I would personally be skeptical of Manchin.

Politicians tend to do whatever it takes to get themselves elected. When being a moderate Democrat was a viable lane in the 90's, Biden was a moderate. Now that the wackos are in charge, he too has become a wacko. He has evolved into whatever is necessary in order to win at that moment. In Manchin's case, he is a Democrat in what is now a solidly Republican state. Being fiercely moderate is the ONLY chance that a Democrat has of being elected in a Republican state, so that is what he has become.

If he were the President, he would no longer be shepherding over a solidly Republican electorate as he does in West Virginia. I would not bet against the notion that in that situation he would morph far closer to being a traditional Democrat at that point. I guess what I am trying to say is that I am skeptical of his moderate cred, and tend to believe that he is a moderate primarily because that is the ONLY way for a Democrat to win in W Virgina.

On top of that, it is a moot point, because there is not a snowball's chance in hell that Democrats will choose him as their nominee, and if he were to run as an independent, they have no true path to victory.

 

You’re right, I just searched it and I definitely confused the two. That doesn’t however discredit Reagan and his gun grabs as well.

 

Neither because both have the same intentions of taking away gun rights. One was the first to ever confiscate firearm attachments. No one has crossed that line but him. I don’t understand how you can as a gun supporter try and make that out to be acceptable.

That's not a lot.

Sure, there's a list of a lot of fluffy little things, which all presidents have similar lists, but he's short on major legislative Achievements.

Trump's only major legislative achievement was a tax bill, and tax bills are always slam dunks for conservatives, it didn't take any real effort for Trump to get it passed as he had both houses under his thumb. Many of his 'deregulations' weren't good ideas at all, and have damaged America.

He just announced he is not going to seek a third party bid and he won't run for re-election. It appears he will be irrelevant in a year. He's on ABC right now live

 

Because republicans and the NRA wouldn’t have folded at the knee. And it may not have been better. I am not making that claim but they damn sure would have fought a bit harder. I voted for Trump in round one but his stance on guns made me change my position on him forever. I will never vote for a gun grabber.

 

I seen this yesterday that he won’t run and he won’t give an endorsement yet either.

 

Sounds like he simply said he is not endorsing Biden, and that he is not running as 3rd party
