    Maybe you're missing the point. This event didn't market itself as some sort of political event to increase understanding and awareness.

    As a matter of fact, it looks to be marketing itself to a very narrow collection of people, those who are interested in or take part in crossdressing.

    That's like asking what spring break parties in Miami or Daytona Beach do to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

    So my question to you is: Why would think this event is trying to broker tolerance and understanding? It looks to me like they're having a drag show, not a political debate.
