Ron Paul is winning by a huge margin. This poll is clearly tainted. Don't worry, if we had our own PoliticalForum.com Fox News they'd write something like this:

Hermann Cain finished second place in the PoliticalForum straw poll. He received 10.52% of the votes. He was closely followed by Newt Gingrich and John Huntsman. Surprisingly Sarah Palin only received 4% of the vote. Ron Paul finished with 25 votes.

See, so by neglecting to mention that Ron Paul was first or the number of voters/ his percent (52.08%) I can make it seem like he's once again that crazy unelectable bastard that no one will vote for and still give him passing mention because I have to in order to be "fair and bias" or whatever they say.

    Oh and BTW:

Bachmann took first place Saturday in the straw poll, with 28 percent of the nearly 17,000 votes cast. That was enough to beat close challenger Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, who finished with 27 percent of the vote.

I always find these polls interesting because it's clear he should be the candidate, yet the social 'conservatives' hate him so much that they refuse to acknowledge the fact that he could win.

You should note though that Paul wants to put our troops at the border, protect us where it counts.
As is, both under Bush and Obama, we meddle around the world "to keep us safe", yet our borders are wide open for the world to harm us.

You don't need the military at the border. It's a waste of their talents.

We simply need more border patrol agents.

Haha! That's exactly what they do!

I think Bachmann just won because she's from Iowa.

Troops are better qualified than Border Patrol agents (many of these "agents" routinely get bribed to let illegals through) and more intimidating as well. Border patrol agents have failed what a bunch of corrupt (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s. Also, troops don't have a home we can transfer a lot of them to duty stations along our borders and their jobs can be to patrol those borders. Mexican invaders are (as a Chicano I can say that with confidence) by definition foreign enemies which makes guarding the border a job of United States military personnel. And it's not cute anymore since our economy has gone to (*)(*)(*)(*).

Our military is trained to fight. Not capture immigrants trying to come into our country illegally.

Oh if Americans let what I'm willing to put in place they would hardly have a chance to make it past our border to be captured. Before a change in border policy takes place Mexico and its citizens will be warned. Unarmed drones for surveillance, troops along the border the entire southern border, hell throw in a few tanks for command presence. Mexicans can be risky but most of them aren't suicidal. Then when its secure we can begin rounding up the illegals. I know of a few I'm willing hand over myself. It's not a matter of can we secure our border, but will we...

You sure only "immigrants" come across our borders?
I thought your argument about Paul/Iran is that he won't keep us safe, yet you are willing to let countless OTMs run across our borders, bringing with them whatever they please.
Seriously, worrying about Iran's nuclear capabilities while nuclear weapons could come right through the border?
The Military exists to fight for us, regardless of locale. Battlefields can be found anywhere.

You just solved the problem then by putting them on the border. Fighting to keep those that are invading our country illegally OUT.

Well who says that the border patrol can't be trained to prevent these things. from happening. They can still do their job if Congress actually lets them.

Congress should give the Border Patrol whatever high-tech surveillance gear that the U.S. military has. The Border Patrol obviously needs it to increase the effectiveness of its job. Also there is one branch of service that is semi-military and is used in the border operations: The U.S. Coast Guard.

You don't really need the military at the Border. Just give the border patrol the tools and help they need to do their job.

Are we preventing people from crossing over or are we shooting anyone who dares cross the border?

Crossing our borders is an invasion and should be treated as an act of war. If Mexico is not going to police its side, we must take measures to protect ourselves. Too many drug runners and leeches of society cross draining our resources and causing harm to our citizens.
