I agree! It's only a matter of time before Erdogan has a false flag attack and Turkey ends up in a war, so why support him?
Well....NATO certainly doesn't need an Islamic state in the organization. I would trust them as much I do the Russians....not at all.
Yeah NATO should definitely kick out the owners of the Bosphorus and open the way for them to end up the Russian camp.
It does? Turkey seems like a liability to me. Having Turkey and it's military in NATO made sense during the cold war as cannon fodder against the Soviets, but I'm not sure what advantage they serve to the alliance now, and it seems their rogue attacks against Russia could force a totally unneeded conflict with NATO against Russia. Who needs that?
On the one hand it's sad watching starcitizen walk into these... but it never gets old for some reason
You appear to be advocating that we simply let radical Sunni Muslims completely take over country and Turkish army, purge all secular Turks, Kurds and the rest of minorities. How is that going to work out for Europe and NATO in the long run? Get a grip. Turks and Russians will never be allies.
You're calling a guy like Erdogan a radical Muslim like he is some ISIS leader. Really... Get a grip on reality... lol - - - Updated - - - Russian navy already has access through the straits to the rest of the world.
This is the only logical statement in this thread so far. Other posters seem to be caught up in the emotions, and have forgot about long term strategic planing.
The difference is that Turkey, so long as they are a member of NATO, has the power to close the Bosphorus in the event of conflict with Russia.
No, he is a well known democrat and a human right lover. It's high time you got off the kool aid. Turkey coup: Soldier 'beheaded by government supporters', pictures shared on Twitter suggest http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-twitter-beheading-social-media-a7140541.html Incidentally, the USA has been infested by treacherous elements. I look forward to seeing a thorougher purge in Washington DC and US military next year. Enough of bed sharing with Sunni radical Muslims.
Why would we want to preemptively lose a NATO member who is that close geographically to an evil enemy of Europe and the US and yes that evil enemy is Russia?
You Von,t think that we have enough intell to figure out that Erdy was trying to pull off a false flag.
He us nit such a great democrat ! He enjoys the democratic process if being elected but he wants to build up a strong autocratic presidency. He will use democracy to get and stay in power but basically he is a scum bag but let,s keep him as our scum bag and never to be a puppy dog of Russia.
I do not trust Russians either but for now let,s use the policy of our American Saint , Ronnie BoubReagan and trust but verify. An enemy of Russia is a friend of mine as long as I can keep watch on both of them.
High time we created a League of Democratic Nations, instead of this farce they call the United Nations and/or NATO. Big joke.
