Power To The Locals

--About this covid pandemic and all the face masks and vax controversy -- Biden wants to mandate his rules to everyone -- the state governors want to mandate their rules to everyone -- the city mayors want to mandate their rules to everyone -- the local school boards wants to mandate their rules to everyone. Some mandate a mask and some say a mask is optional. I say let the mayor mandate for the city and the school board mandate for the schools -- both leaders answer to the local citizens. That's where local control should rest.
--Too much control now comes from D. C. Heck, just this morning I read the Biden Admin is investigating the frequency of break-downs of the ice cream machines at all the McDonald's.

 

Guess he's forced to, Pelosi won't set up a "select committee" since she doesn't eat "plebeian" ice cream...

 

I agree with you here. Governor DeSantos should stay out of local schools policies.

 

What about the other governors?

 

All public schools should be run locally. Governors can have an opinion just like anyone else, but they should not over ride decisions local officials unless what the locals are doing is against the law. This doesn't mean they can pronounce new "laws" and then override local officials. Local government has the most effect on the lives of local people. It is also the easiest for locals to change.

 

So basically, you want to whittle down who makes the decision until you find someone who agrees with you. Interesting.

Let me see, we elect leaders to make the rules, fair enough, but they have to answer to the people, and if we don't like the rules we vote the leaders out. So now we have liberals telling us it's their bodies and they can abort a baby any time they want meanwhile the same liberals are telling some people you must let the government inject a drug into your body no matter what your moral, health, or religious convictions are.
