President Trump and his tax returns.

Discussion in 'Opinion POLLS' started by Moriah, Apr 7, 2019.

?

Show the returns?

  1. It should be mandatory for Trump to show his tax returns.

  2. It should be voluntary for Trump to show his tax returns.

  3. I don't care one way or the other.

How would his tax returns show a connection to the Russian government?

What would "exonerate him". What evidence would "exonerate him"? How would Mueller prove he is "exonerated"?

To learn what circumstances led to the attack on our consultate and the death of our ambassador and 3 other Americans, you know ACTUAL oversight of the State Department and DoD.

Congress screwed the Court. Congress has now adopted the standard that personal hate is sufficient.

Trump would do well to remember a lesson from history: "At a trial on 17 January 1793, the National Convention had convicted the king of high treason in a near-unanimous vote; while no one voted "not guilty", several deputies abstained. Ultimately, they condemned him to death by a simple majority."

Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Execution_of_Louis_XVI#:~:text=At a trial on 17,death by a simple majority.

Mere "hatred" for Donald Trump doesn't even BEGIN to describe what some in this pack of radical Democrat jackals feel toward him. Nevertheless, as wealthy as everybody in Congress is today, it would be interesting to see how many of them, Left and Right, DO NOT take advantage of every single tax-break their tax attorneys can qualify them for.... 8)

Wait until they begin to compare him favorably to Ron DeSantis.

Remember when Bush was "literally hitler"? Now they love him!

Democrat’s favorable view toward Bush doesn’t make Democrat looks bad, what it says that Trump is so bad that G.W. Bush looks like a decent human being.

Yes. That's their act. "He's the worst since Hitler!" Next Republican President is so bad that the previous one looks good compared to them!

When they favorably compare Trump to DeSantis, you will think I have a crystal ball, I don't, I've just seen these propagandists run this old tired play before.

And Republican act is “ if I attack the messenger, I don’t have to accept the message”.

By the way DeSantis is worse than Trump. At least with Trump everyone can see Trump is a low life conn artist, but DeSantis will ban math books while hugging kids. I just hope million Americans find DeSantis more dangerous then Trump.

Why? It's none of your business, nor is it mine. If I were you, I'd be way more curious how Biden became filthy rich on a civil servant's salary than about Trump's income statements, which never should have been released in the first place. Trump has been rich for at least as long as I've been aware of his existence, which must be 30+ years by now, and likely longer than that.

Not to mention, from what I've heard, there's nothing suspicious whatsoever to be found therein. Which I could have told you years ago, if there was anything there, he'd have been sitting in a prison cell since at LEAST 2016, if not sooner.

You think a billionaire's returns don't get poured over by an army of IRS scum?

Oh... Did I say that out loud?

Then get off your high horse and get to work. You can make that happen, all you need is one or more sponsors to introduce the bill (I'm assuming you yourself are not a Member of the House or Senate), then 66% of the Congress, and 38 States. If you think you're going to get 354 votes out of the Congress to vote themselves out of a job, then I want some of whatever it is you are smoking.

That's not the way it works. The requirements for Federal Office are laid out in plain English in the Constitution. And submitting a document that the government should not even have, as we should have never instituted an income tax. It was supposed to be temporary, it didn't go above 0% until about $120k in inflation adjusted dollars, and the maximum rate, which didn't kick in until the equivalent of about $10,000,000 was a whopping 9%!

Yup, today's poor pay more in taxes than even the richest American of their time never did, at least in terms of rates. And most "normal income" level folks (which is virtually all of us, unless you and your spouse make $280k or more, half that if you're single.

I could almost be down for an income tax, so long as we revert back to the original rates and stay there. But I don't trust any politician to keep their word about that, even if they absolutely mean it when they say it. Plus, I'm old enough to remember when Reagan caved in on amnesty for existing illegals in exchange for a vow that it would NEVER happen again.

That didn't work out really well, now did it?

If I ever run for Office, I will absolutely NOT release my returns, not because I have anything to hide, hell, we have one income (since I got hurt), but rather because that's in between me and the IRS. If they have a problem with something I filed (or failed to), they can bring it up, and if charges are pressed, everyone will know about it. At least after I become a candidate (IF that ever happens) they will, because you know a microscope up the ass is the first thing the press does to a wannabe politician. If the voters care, they can vote for someone else.
