The timing looks suspicious as if this shutdown is intended to reflect poorly on the Dems in the House. Too bad that the BLOTUS took responsibility for the shutdown before he even started it.

Only the BLOTUS supporters are blaming the Dems, everyone else KNOWS that it is entirely the fault of the BLOTUS and the GOP.

Because when Repubs controlled Congress, BO the Peep was in the White House and would not sign a bill. Plus the Repubs did not hold a Super Majority in the Senate.

Why didn't the Demos do anything about it when they Controlled Congress and BO the Peep was sitting in the WH? They had 58 Senators and clearly could have got Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski the RINOS to vote with them.

 

So what you are saying that you aren't able to comprehend that 63% from a year ago....down to 54% with more Independents and more Repubs supporting a wall/barrier. That is beyond your comprehension and understanding that more people are supporting Trump on the issue, Right?

What according to your Lame Stream Media that Trump is taking the blame. That is par for the course. The reality is once the GOP passed that bill and the Demos had to filibuster it to prevent McConnell from taking it to the floor. Politically the Demos own it and now.....not negotiating. They own it lock stock and barrel.

On my block, there are Mexicans and Haitians, and a mixture of white and black US types. The neighbors of foreign origin are peaceful, clean and good neighbors. I do not know and do not care if they have the proper papers from Washington.

The same poll also showed that President Donald Trump's favorable rating is 40% to unfavorable rating of 58%. That means his net favorability rating is -18 points.

And I get that support for the wall is now opposed by a 3:2 margin instead of being opposed by a 2:1 margin. What you fail to understand is that Trump has not budged that needle one iota since he started the shutdown.

Trump claimed ownership of the shutdown and a majority of Americans agree. You and your ilk are not enough.

Yes Trump said he would own it.....but then knew once the GOP passed the bill for funding the wall and the Demos in the Senate Filibustered it to prevent McConnell from taking it to the floor. That changed up the deal on who owns the shutdown.

You might want to start checking around with some politicos and not Network Television, CNN, MSDNC or WAPO and the NY Times. Try Hohmann of the daily 202, the Atlantic. Plus you might want to start listening to talk radio. That way you can at least say you are hearing from all sides.

42% support it 54% oppose it.
53% blame Trump and the GOP. 29% the Dems.
79% think it will be a problem if it continues.
66% oppose using emergency powers to build it including 70% of independents.
25% think it's a crisis.

Your entire argument is based on excusing additional crime because of existing crime. I went to the zoo and released some animals. They only ate a few people, but my actions are justified because the danger from fellow Americans is much greater. Most of the animals are harmless.

 

Support for building a wall on the border, which is the principal sticking point in the stalemate between the president and Democrats, has increased over the past year.
