Prior to virtue signaling, leftists should probably read this

I know, I know; having bumper stickers and yard signs displaying deeply intellectual thoughts such as 'love is love' and 'black lives matter' and 'kindness is everything' makes one feel all the tingles, but sometimes this isn't enough for our liberal/progressive/socialist friends to show others that they really, really care.

Take, for example, The Bail Project, Las Vegas.

This was one of the countless leftist groups who believed the thugs who were caught vandalizing government buildings, assaulting police officers and stealing items were victims of politically motivated right wing prosecutions that demanded a virtuous response.

Thus, we found the opportunity to make donations to these various 'projects' in the form of bail, where thugs who had been arrested for virtually every conceivable felony could have a cash bond provided those seeking a release from custody.

See, in the racist olden days the nut job who would take a baseball bat to the head of a person he was trying to rob - colonialism, dontcha know - would be held on a bond of say, $20,000 to ensure he would show up for his trial if released. So our heavyweight intellectual betters, including our deeply qualified vice president, Kamala Harris, endorsed and participated in these groups.

Our virtue signaling brethren was exuberant! But then as is likely to occur in typical leftist overreach, things quickly became turgid.

Look no further than Las Vegas, where this particular bail project successfully realized the release of violent felon Rashawn Gaston-Anderson:

So the waiter who was almost murdered by Anderson is now suing the organization - and the people who make up the organization - for foisting this turd amongst decent Americans:

Lesson here? When virtue signally in the future, realize your actions have real world consequences. Then again, if liberals/progressives/socialists came even close to realizing this, we wouldn't currently be in dire straights, would we?
