Seems the original thread has somehow been rendered inactive (HERE) and will no longer bump to the first page when a new post is made. I don't understand why this happens? Is there some form of censorship going on at this forum? Anyway, hence this new thread with the same name because of the new material below. ** Back in the mid-1980's Clive Ponting, was a very senior civil servant in the UK's Ministry of Defence and became famous for passing two classified reports on Thatcher's sinking of the Argentinian battleship, General Belgrano, to MP, Tam Dalyell. The Thatcher government prosecuted him under the Official Secrets Act. In his defence Ponting said he was operating in the public interest in making Parliament aware of what actually happened concerning the Belgrano. He was acquitted and had his pay reinstated. Clive Ponting joins the growing chorus on the Skripal affair: 2 28 Apr, 2018 in Uncategorized by craig This comment from Clive Ponting, doyen of British whistleblowers, appeared on my website and he has now given me permission to republish it under his full name: I have been reading the blogs for some time but this is my first post. Like Craig I was a senior civil servant but in the ministry of defence not the fco. I had plenty of dealings with all three intelligence agencies. It seems to me that the reason none of the MSM are doing any investigating/reporting of the Salisbury affair, apart from official handouts, is that the government have slapped a D-Notice over the whole incident and it is not possible to report that a notice has been issued. Here is another theory as to what happened. The Russians pardoned Skripal and allowed him to leave (spy agencies have an understanding that agents will always be swapped after an interval – it’s the only protection they have and helps recruitment). In the UK Skripal would have been thoroughly debriefed by MI6 and MI5 (his ex-handler lives near Salisbury). If at some point they discovered that Skripal was giving them false information, perhaps he was told to do so by the FSB as a condition of his release, lives may have been endangered/lost. If he also was also involved in the ‘golden showers’ dossier then elements in the US would have a reason to act as well. The whole incident was an inside job not to kill him, hence the use of BZ, but to give him a warning and a punishment. The whole thing is being treated as though the authorities know exactly what went on but have to cover it up. Addendum I meant to add that the policeman who ‘just happened’ to be around was almost certainly the special branch ‘minder’ who was keeping Yulia under surveillance. The media are not allowed to mention the existence of a D notice. Those of us who have been in the belly of the beast and have worked closely with the intelligence services, really do know what they and the British government are capable of. They are not “white knights”. --snip-- https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/arch...western-responsibility-for-skripal-poisoning/
Yes, yes, yes but no.... Ponting was a Ministry of Defence insider and like Craig Murray (who was FCO) has excellent insights into how matters operate. I also suspect that he continues to have excellent inside sources too, as does Murray. From what the latter has posted on hos blog there is a great deal of unhappiness amongst the Mandarin class and senior people at Porton Down with the way they have been forced to bend to the will of the government over the Skripal affair.
I am not sure why someone offering 2 conspiracy theories in the comments section of a blog post is "news" or anything more than nonsense.
How these government charlatans must love naive people like yourself!! Or more likely they laugh at your gullibility?
And not a single word about it in the MSM for the past 3 days? That alone speaks volumes? I confidently predict that the next thing we hear is that the Salisbury 'clean-up' went so well that it has finished 8 months ahead of schedule??
Hey Cerb. Have you seen Tecoyah's posts in the linked thread and, in particular, his post No. 75 (HERE)? Scuttle over and take a peek before the thread disappears into the void... This should be deeply disturbing to this forum's membership.
Interestingly, this thread too has been downgraded to a lesser forum. It seems the Skripal affair has become far too contentious to remain in situ in the most visited forum. Dare one use the C word? Censorship.
Who's "we"? Care to elucidate Surfer? And what has Poland to do with anything? Colour me confused by your post.
LMAO...Actually, no, but I find the russia-bot tag-team antics quite amusing. All the turd polishing for putin is so obvious that it's more comic relief than sinister. You people should try to be more subtle.
Of all the discussion sites I've been chucked off of ( ) this is the least censored one of them all, so I'd guess some of us post on the wrong forums now and again: I find it difficult to decide with posts like the one I made earlier about the supposed Russian hacking ( ) of Corbyn's election - whether the 'Russia' connection made it latest US & World News, or the election itself belongs in Western Europe.
Actually it's my only language, although I can scrape along on a little French and ever less Latin. I have to say that you're proving to be quite humorous to read, because English clearly isn't your first language. But even accounting for that I'm adding you to my ever growing ignore list. Bye bye.
Maybe so Cerb, but that that post of mine was disappeared this morning, as I predicted it would be. But tecoyah's post revealing my IP address was also disappeared so I have no complaints - other than that I don't really care for any type of censorship. But that's what keep happening. Anyway, I'm now working with several others on a new media project that will see my presence here diminish (but not entirely lapse) due to growing commitments on said project. Take care, old son.
Government charlatans like Trump and Putin? They are the ones offering up alternative conspiracy theories.
I'm sorry to hear that, SH, because you're the only one who shares my conclusions - and my cynicism of it all? Best wishes, and I'll carry on looking out for any posts you might make. I used to see your name as most recent contributor on the threads page and quickly click on the most recent post to see what you had to say before it got overwritten.
I will continue posting Cerb, but the volume will soon diminish as the other project develops. Besides that I now understand hat role this forum plays in the grand game... (I shouldn't be at all surprised to see this post become a member of the disappeared now either - just for uttering this thought). Meanwhile, it now seems to be the case that Skripal had worked on the Trump dirty dossier with former MI6, Pablo Miller (his recruiter), who had moved on to work with Christopher Steele at Orbis Intelligence (creator of the Trump dirty dossier). The UK government has placed a D Notice on Pablo Miller, confirmed by Channel 4 News. It seems that Skripal was threatening to sell his knowledge of the lies of that dirty dossier and had to be shut up ------ a dose of BZ did the trick. The smart men and ladies of MI6 then decided to use the Skripal affair to attack Russia and build a public consensus for the planned military decapitation of the Syrian military by the US, UK and France (as revealed by Elijah Magnier). Many sordid streams flow into the same dirty pond, where scum live and prosper. Update: https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/arch...western-responsibility-for-skripal-poisoning/
Aw, how sweet of you Surfer. But no need to worry yourself or allow yourself to get upset or excited. I'll still be posting from time to time.... just less. And I'll make sure I still drop by to watch you take your daily forum snooze as you dribble and twitch: And I also promise I'll keep a watching brief on your state of mind to ensure you do not overexercise your brain. We both know what the doctor said; that trying to flex it beyond its very limited abilities is not good for you... Ta ta
LMAO...Well, thanks for your kind attention to all my posts, but I see that your promise to put me on ignore was just a lie, eh?
