Protecting Human Diversity?

Why are different human ethnic groups not protected like endangered species?

No one is suggesting that anyone be forced to choose whom they have children with or to have children against their will, but could there potentially be ways to encourage people to reproduce in such a way to protect the planet's ethnic diversity?

It would be a real shame if the human species lost its unique diversity as all the ethnicities get muddled into one.

Each ethnic population has developed unique genetic traits, both physical, mental/personality, and even physiological. Within each of the human races, there is a huge variety of diversity between the different ethnic groups.

In ecological terms, whether different populations constitute different subspecies may be difficult to make. For instance, in some areas where populations of Red-breasted and Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers meet, they hybridize, whereas in other areas of overlap they do not. As a result, ornithologists do not agree upon whether to consider the two forms as separate subspecies of the same species.

actually anyone with even a basic understanding of human anthropology knows that there is greater genetic difference within ethnic groups than between them. Why do you keep posting this nonsense on this forum which has been soundly refuted so many times? Are you "special" in some way?

 

There is very little genetic diversity. There is more genetic diversity between members of a tribe of chimps than there is in the entire human population.

 

Because ethnic groups are defined by culture, not genetics.

Genetic diversity or not, each ethnicity has certain distinguishing charactaristics that most of its members have in common. Some of these characteristics, such as physical appearance, should be obvious.


Perhaps some of you do not value human ethnic genetic diversity, just like some of you do not care about endagered species or permanent destruction of natural habitats. The fact that most progressive environmentalists do not care about human ethnic/racial diversity shows just how hypocritical they are.

 

Race is nothing like species or even a subspecies.

 

So you can tell a Finn from a Swede just by looking? Or an Azerbaijani from an Armenian? An Ibo from an Mandingo? A Portuguese from a Catalan? A Korean from a Han?

Don't be daft. Race and ethnicity aren't the same, in spite of your protestations to the contrary.

Preserving human diversity would be a good thing, however, it conflicts with a better thing--freedom. Human beings have the freedom to mate with whoever they can get to agree to mate with them. Anything that would preserve human diversity would get in the way of that freedom.

 

I don't really think it's a love of white people, more like a love of money.

 

I don't know why there are so many race deniers on this forum. When I was a young man I discovered if one wants to bang non-White women it's a good idea to treat them like people.

 

Why do Black and East Asian men fetishize White women? It's not about the money.

Talk to African American women on the first claim.

doesn't seem to be that common among Japanese Thai, Korean or Chinese from what I can tell.
