Magic mushrooms. Has anyone here every tried them? If so, how would you rate your experience? How about ayahuasca? It's on my bucket list to go to Peru and try this. I ask because I saw an interesting show on NatGeo (I think) about psychedelics and all the medicinal uses they have. Thank you for your input. PS Please don't hurt my feelings and ignore my thread. Make something up if you have to.
Well I have a friend who took mushrooms and said they saw everything in purple. I understand that ayahuasca is a total immersion hallucination experience and pleasant after the initial 'toss your cookies.' I have heard it is a lot like Peyote....including the stomach sickness.
Speaking about 'shrooms.... Start fresh and in good mood and well hydrated. Do it with some good friends in a comfortable place when you all have time. Avoid alcohol, or anything else and experience what you experience. A little is too little.
I saw a movie about ayahuasca and said "No way", but now I feel like it is something that I have to do. I am ready.
I moved to a new state, so I don't have any friends anymore, and I feel like I'm too old to make new ones. How important would you say it is to have supervision? Is a little too little? That seems counter intuitive to me. Wouldn't a smaller dose be safer at first?
No friends...heck man...get out some... It's been some time....but 2 grams looks like a huge pile...but it is just a little bit. However, you are probably right smaller at first...but just a couple caps won't do it.
The "shrooms" usually grow out of cow manure. Boil them fresh in water and mix with tea. Hold your nose and swallow. The tea tends to make the nasty taste less severe. It is not as potent as LSD but you will have hallucinations. Don't drive and stay put. I once went for a walk and everything changed. When I did make it back to my room I didn't know if I was in my room or in someone else's house.
I do mushrooms all the time; along with carrots, spinach, kale, onions... Be careful experimenting. The guy who got the Nobel Prize for the polymerase chain reaction, got the idea while on LSD. Now he thinks a glowing green raccoon that he talked with in the woods was channeling an alien from some other planet [ Kary Mullis]
Peter Max is an artist. I had an experience that looked like one of his posters. Be careful... I no longer do any drugs. It ain't worth it. But FYI you can also make a tea from Angel trumpet leaves. I have never tried them but they say use only one leaf when making the tea. It isn't the same as mushrooms and I have read bad things about them. Lots of bad trips on Angel Trumpets.
I've never heard of Angel Trumpets, but I'm sure I don't want to try them after reading your post. Thanks for the warning.

I watched one of those 'sick' Japanese practical jokes videos where about 18-20 persons were sampling mushrooms. After a few minutes one of them 'became ill', seriously ill, and was last seen being blue-lighted to their equivalent of A&E/Intensive Care Unit. Y'all can imagine what it was like for the others as they, too, waited to 'become ill'? I shouldn't have laughed really but . . .
Yes but after the hurl Peyote is a body high. I took a walk. And I walked and I walked. It took more effort to turn around and walk home than to continue walking. I never had walls melting or colors beyond reality. I made the buttons into a broth in a cup of warm water. After a while I sipped the broth and ate the softened buttons. Loosing it is after some time. Not immediate.
Munched copious amounts of Boomers when I used to follow bits of Dead tours. Fantastic experiences... Far more enjoyable than LSD.
Do your research properly. There's no shortage of scumbag operators pretending to be 'shamen' ready to take your dollars and leave you dead in the jungle.
For sure. IMO, the experiences helped me better connect with those around me..... Dosed or not.... And the Natural world. I believe that they also promoted my being open to investigating as much as I can, about anything I come into contact with. While not fully removing my propensity for seeing things black & white, fear of exploring the rest of the spectrum concerning most issues, became nonexistent.
That's the kind of answer I was expecting. I wonder if that's why psychedelics are illegal? I imagine it must be easier to control binary thinkers.
