I actually attempted to add to this thread discussing in more reasonable terms the possible psychological profile of Putin. Its unfortunate Litwin you have become preoccupied with baiting the Russian Putin groupies on this forum. In fact intelligence and for that matter police agencies often engage in experts to compile personality profiles to better predict the kind of behaviour expected from world leaders, particularly those in high positions of power. In the case of Obama and Putin you can be sure there have been profiles done on them by each sides intelligence agencies. In fact I would think by now the Russians have an extensive portfolio on Obama. From what I can see Obama has withdrawn himself from the world stage the last year or so and according to all kinds of sources he has not shown up at intelligence briefings and shown any interest in world events. Some have openly speculated on his mental health saying he appears to be medicated. In regards to Putin there is also speculation including a rumour he has spinal cancer. Many of these stories are of course false but a lof of people will take the vdeos and speeches of these politicians and look to them for clues as to a politician's behavour. A movie was made on how the precursor to the CIA and a Psychology professor from Harvard was used to create a profile on Adolph Hitler. Its a fascinating read and can be foud on the internet. What we know happens now with world leaders and people of great importance is that they become subject to what is referred to as remotely conducted empirical psychological assessment. The criteria that would be used can be found at this time in the third edition of the Millon Inventory of Diagnostic Criteria (MIDC), which lists 34 normal and maladaptive personality classifications that correspond with the same classifications that can be found in the current psychiatric diagnostic manual known as the DSMV. I did try write a threat, albeit when I was tired and making typo mistakes repeating much of the wide spread profiling on Putin. There is strong reason to believe he fits under the dominant introvert category. It is believed people with this kind of personality will not hesitate to engage their military forces. If anything Obama is a passive introvert. He appears loath to use any armed force and when he finds himself compelled to even then he will apologize. In his speech the other night, Obama apologized for having to use force against ISIS. Listen back to the choice of his words. They say he has failed and so now needs to use force. A man like Putin would never do that there woudl be no hesitation in any Putin speech about using force as there was with Obama. . Putin's personality shows someone who does not forget, forgive, or flex very easily. On the other hand, Obama not only forgives and forgets but compromises. Putin will not compromsie fearing its a weakness to compromise and this is why he is in danger because he will paint himself into a corner and not know how to get out and this is where Putin becomes dangerous-if he feels trapped. He feels trapped by NATO. He does not feel they treated him fairly and he luterally feels boxed in by them and like a rat cornered he will lunge at someone's neck if he has no other options. Obama sees compromise as a strength and so let him have his way in Syria, Georgia, but those allowances or appeasing of Putin were seen by Putin as Obama being weak not strong. Obama things that showed strength to the world. No not to the world or Putin unfortunately. In Obama's world its all about compromise or a win-win negotiation approach, in Putin's its win-lose or lose-win. Putin has a distinct world vision he wants people to follow. Obama is the opposite he has no vision and he does not want people to feel obliged to follow him. Putin sees himself as a warrior-messiah, Obama a peaceful prophet. Putin sees himself as strong, righteous, mighty, full of pride. Obama sees himself as weak, flawed and humble. Putin believes he was sent to conquer, Obama to make peace. Putin believes brutal, direct expressions of strength win the day. Obama believes gentle expressions of kindness rule the day. Putin is the Viking or Mongolian Hun to Obama's monk. One believes he is sworn to the honour of winning the war, and his God, w is merciless and unforgiving, the other is a pacifist believing his God is loving and logical. The Dominant introvert(Putin) and the Passive introvert (Obama) are just as capable of becoming engaged in brutal force. Make no mistake. Either is capable of compartmentalizing which means dettaching their emotions from their ability to make decisions if they have to. You do not become leader of either nation unless deep inside you have come to terms with being ruthless to get to where you want to be. Putin sees himself as only starting his crusade, Obama sees himself a lame duck. . They tend to be described as stubborn and tenacious. They seek to reshape the world in accordance with their personal vision, and their foreign policies are often characterized by the tenaciousness with which they advance one central idea. [These leaders] seem relatively preoccupied with themes of exclusion, the establishment of institutions or principles to keep potentially disruptive forces in check. (p. 449; italics in original) Etheredges high-dominance introvert is similar in character to Margaret Hermanns (1987) expansionist orientation to foreign affairs. These leaders have a view of the world as being divided into us and them, based on a belief system in which conflict is viewed as inherent in the international system. This world view prompts a personal political style characterized by a wariness of others motives and a directive, controlling interpersonal orientation, resulting in a foreign policy focused on issues of security and status, favoring low-commitment actions and espousing short-term, immediate change in the international arena. Expansionist leaders are not averse to using the enemy as a scapegoat and their rhetoric often may be hostile in tone (pp. 168169).
quote of the day "Litwin you have become preoccupied with baiting the Russian Putin groupies on this forum." LOL. i like your post but i disagree . it has nothing to with Obama. you live in USA maybe its just to close. look your country is in transition and Obama works as a crisis manager, and he is not that bad actually in this role...
Litwin to start with I kind of like the baiting. I find it hilarious. So do not get me wrong its just I also find you when you are in the mood to be highly intelligent (like in the Jesuit sense) with some responses and then other times you dish out the well deserved finger so do not get me wrong. Look I admit I am critical of Obama foreign policy but its just my opnion. I appreciate you could make some arguments that maybe some of his role is beyond his control and making. Its just I do not like his posing as a Christian to get his vote. I prefer a man who is up front as to his views. I quite frankly understand why he couched himself but he's pro Muslim Brotherhood and I do blame him for funding ISIS and making a huge error in being pro Muslim Brotherhood. So in that sense I admit it, I am I guess a right winger on US foreign policy. But I am respectful of any President. I am Canadian by the way. I do believe he is working as a crisis manager. I believe I guess you would say all Western leaders are these days with this crap economy. Your comments were fair. Thanks.
name me one politician who does so? they are all hypocrites, just look at Sweden. i dont want to talk about Russia ...where no one can speak today opposite the moscovite nationalistic narrative

Its just to give you an idea how they take those general characteristics and then say, they are manifested in Putin or say Obama. Putin has a young child now with a gymnast. Really? This is an actual thread on PF? I have had to sit through stand up comedians talk about Clinton kissing babies for a decade. No one ever called him anything other than politically savy. You can hate Putin, but qhen its for stuff like this it just seems petty.
