Source: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...-buy-boeing-aircraft-in-large-deal-trump-says My question is this: Why does this particular president obtain so much joy and personal satisfaction from either creating "fake news" or putting himself in the limelight of that which has already taken place and for which he had absolutely nothing to do with engineering? Qatar has been buying Boeing aircraft since 1995. They started out buying used commercial airframes from other operators and then retrofitting them to fit their missions. They've also been purchasing aircraft from Airbus and built a mostly Airbus fleet in the earliest years of their development as a commercial airline. Qatar Fleet Source: https://monosnap.com/file/gqUlXSbCjwnTueWx98BZxfdFMJ8RCE This particular order from Qatar, had already been put into place as early as 2013, during the Obama Administration. This order is an extension and continuation of the Qatar/Boeing relationship that began back between 2006 through 2008. This has been an ongoing and developing business relationship that had already been cultivated, matured and seasoned over the course of many years. This is the result of that seasoning in the relationship between Qatar and Boeing. Airbus received the exact same treatment from Qatar over the years just as well. This "order" is not "news." This should be classified as "Fake News." News that would have otherwise taken place with or without Donald J. Trump sitting in the White House. Again, how is it possible that this president gets to continually take undeserved credit for economic conditions that were put into motion long before he entered the White House? Why is this stealing of credit such a continuous theme with this particular president? Why steal thunder you don't create?
Are you honestly asking why Trump tries to take credit for things he had no hand in creating? Trump has been doing that for decades. Hell, give him enough rope and he will say he had a hand in building the pyramids. He is a conman. A car salesman. He's not going to change.
There 9s no doubt Boeing can use the order as they have seen cancellations from China which was expected to spend up to a trillion on commercial planes between now and 2022.
