    This is absolutelyl absurd.

It's definitely the case that there are wearers who don't wear their masks properly and there are mask materials and designs that run along a spectrum of effectiveness.

But, that does NOT mean that masks fail to reduce contagious disease including viruses.

You can't even show that board anecdotes are even real.

It's preposterous to suggest there is value in data that are totally unverifiable, published by individuals who have opinions, agendas and must be presumed to have NO medical training.

There is far too large a body of real data available to consider that such BS as you propose should be considered.

Your description of science dodges ALL methods of legitimate questioning as Popper would require.

QED of what 557 was talking about in post #93.

And you're STILL whining about FOX? Both 557 and I have already addressed FOX News. Move on... Start looking at your own "trusted" media sources and accepting that they pull the very same schiff...

    Ok I’ll bite

How the **** is it “weakening the immune system” to wear a mask and wash your hands?

I don't much care that your philosophy of science is an old joke.

But you keep trying to lay claim to authority you clearly do not possess.

The work with masks is messy. That's not unusual in science, but we don't typically care when lives are not at stake.

But they are at stake. The latest estimate is that requiring masks could save 33,000 lives by the end of the year. The judgement of medical professionals is that they help.

    Seek help.

In and of itself, wearing a mask and washing hands does not weaken the immune system. Being a hypochondriac DOES weaken one's immune system, however, since one is not giving themselves enough exposure to viruses/bacteria.

Lives are always "at stake"... The 33k lives number is just a made up number (randU Fallacy). Meaningless.

There is no doubt it would save lives, someone in the real world would have limited themselves to questioning the total.

"The University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation now projects that 33,000 American lives would be saved between now and October 1 by near universal wearing of masks.

The IHME released the updated model on Wednesday.

The IHME’s coronavirus projections have been frequently cited in the past by the White House’s coronavirus task force.

Last month, a study in the Lancet found that the use of masks and respirators by those infected with the virus reduced the risk of spreading the infection by 85%."
    https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/...-000-us-lives-would-be-saved-by-wearing-masks

"According to an analysis by The Philadelphia Inquirer, coronavirus cases seem to be rising overall in states with relaxed face-mask rules. By contrast, The Inquirer found that new cases had fallen by 25% in total over the past two weeks in states that mandated masks in public.

In Springfield, Missouri, last month, two hair stylists at the Great Clips salon tested positive for COVID-19. They had seen 140 customers since the salon reopened. But of the 46 customers tested, none were positive.

The likely explanation for this lack of transmission was that all employees and customers had worn masks."

Copy/Paste ignored on sight. Try forming your own arguments.

33k number ignored on sight. randU numbers (such as numbers made up in one's head) are not data. Meaningless.

    I don't have a lot of details.

My husband worked with a woman who died from it about a month ago. She seemed in good health. They were in the middle of a project, and she wasn't answering emails, and then the news hit. She was working from home when it happened, as all the people in my husband's company are, and have been, since mid-March.

My best friend's cousin died from it. Good health, but had unhealthy people around her.

I have a friend who works in the geriatric ward of a hospital in south Florida. She's seeing lots of deaths, which is to be expected. She sees a lot of death anyway, but she says these death are pretty horrible to watch.

I live close to Cleveland. I don't know anyone who had COVID. I reluctantly went to the outskirts of Cleveland last week to get an oil change at a friend's shop. He has been asking his customers if they know anyone with COVID. Not one customer reported that they know anyone infected with the disease. Interesting that the guy has been battling Leukemia for years. Two weeks ago he had surgery for an infection around a tube he had in his chest related to his disease.

This, of course, is not a statistical study, but every day my opinion that COVID has been over hyped to destroy the economy and throw the election to a geriatric is supported. It started when CDC decided the US would record deaths WITH COVID as deaths DUE TO COVID.

News now is that cases are rising ,,, and that because hospitalizations WITH COVID are rising, the spike must be real and not just due to an increase in testing. But but but, many places relaxed the ban on elective surgery. What happens when a person going in for a facelift is allowed to be admitted and is found to be COVID positive. Ah, we have another COVID hospitalization for the geriatric lovers.

Washing hands is always a good idea. Covid is not the only pathogen circulated by poor hygiene.

As mask is, by definition, an obstruction of the airway. Some are more sensitive to that effect, others are not.

This is my favorite “proof” masks are safe for everyone. I LOL just thinking about it.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.da...iment-shows-N95-did-NOT-drive-CO2-levels.html

No matter how this all shakes out in the end the above is a good demonstration of why it’s hard to take those who claim “science” as basis for their beliefs seriously.

Another possibility is that wicked people being paid are spreading the virus manually. Given its "engineered for gain of function" status, it had to have been spread somehow to get this going.

That Tony knew it was coming in 2017 supports that theory.
