Does a 15 year old pose such a threat they need to be escorted out of an event? I don't understand the need to feel intimidated by someone in high school. Are the GOP scared of this teen because he asked De Santis if Trump prevented a peaceful transition of power? Is a simple question off limits to GOP candidates? They do seem to dance around the question when asked.

They are scared because, yes, Trump tried to prevent a peaceful transition of power and it’s so clear that even a teenager can see it.

You know the Republican Party is on its death bed when a 15 year olds questions make them so fearful they have to involve the police.

I guess that makes sense with what NC and Fl Republicans are doing with their new secret police.

It can be unfair when the people in charge exclude an individual or group from a venue because of how another group is, or is going to, react to them.

There are numerous examples of this phenomena.

It can be "unsafe" or "disruptive" for that person to be there, because a different group will be acting unsafe and disruptive.

In my personal opinion, this is almost sort of like giving in to a form of group "terrorism", caving-in to social coercion of the larger group.

Especially when that larger group knows they can get their way and exclude people they don't like by misbehaving.

Considering our nation’s culture of mass shootings and a lot of them being in schools and a lot being done by overly hormonal and emotional teens…..

Yea it was a good question and DeSantis should have answered it.

The answer is of course yes. Biden has power. If Trump had violated the peaceful transfer of power, Trump would be in power. This isn't rocket science. Unfortunately for DeSantis, there was no good answer. No matter what he said, it would either piss off MAGA or the never Trumpers. Wouldn't be surprised to find out Trump or the DNC secretly aided the kid. The DNC wants to run against Trump, not DeSantis. Their little witch hunt basically cleared the Republican field for him.

Ah yes, anyone daring to ask a question about one of the most fundamental issues with an exiting president is actually a vast conspiracy against a Republican.

I sometimes wonder if y’all hear yourself?

trump absolutely violated the peaceful transfer of power: his administration tried to shut out the Biden administration from intelligence information — thankfully Biden was already receiving briefs due to his prior status as VP, they literally locked the doors, not to mention having a rally a short distance from where congress was voting to uphold the will of the voters and then telling those individuals that if they didn’t “fight” then their country was going to be taken from them.

DeFascist had this kid kicked out because he knew his own intellectual acumen was far below the 15-year-old's. He does not like uncomfortable truths. That's why he bans books.

    This is my favourite part
Jimmy Thompson, a spokesman for the New Hampshire Republican Party “During the course of the two-day event, an overzealous volunteer mistakenly made the decision to have Quinn removed from the event, thinking he was a Democrat tracker,”

Yeah they threw him out thinking that he was recording what republicans were saying. God forbid people get to hear what republicans are saying when they think no one is recording

You are missing the peaceful part. Of course there was a transition of power. It wasn’t peaceful. Trump’s supporters tried to prevent the transfer, violently.

As always, don't listen to what conservatives say, watch what they do (or don't do). When they scream 'FREE SPEECH' they mean that there should ne no consequences of ANY sort (including social ones) for THEIR speech and THEIR speech alone.

This isn't anything new, but people often forget how fundamental it is to conservatism - to the extent it qualifies as an ideology it is an ideology of power.

looks like they knew they did wrong and had to let him back in - lol

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/new-hampshire-police-boot-15-year-old-quinn-mitchell-from-gop-event

"Mitchell found himself being escorted out of another GOP event by five police officers after filming videos of Republican Perry Johnson. “They told me I was being a disruption, I was taking a video like anybody else,” Mitchell told the Globe. Mitchell, who was later spotted back at the event less than an hour after his removal, addressed the situation on X: “Believe me if I disrupted a event my mom would never ever take me to another one - not my style.”"

Ronnie DeSanctimonious is an authoritarian wannabee, he has no issue curbing or silencing this young man's free speech. And yes, it was a good question deserving of a politician's answer. Run, Ronnie, run....

No, it's an incredibly stupid thing to claim.
Attempted theft is still a crime.
When trump attempted to violate the peaceful transfer of power, he committed a crime, even though he failed to remain in power.
Maybe you think that because Georgia election officials refused to invent 11 thousand votes for trump, he really didn't commit a crime.
That would be classical maga, but nobody else buys that nonsense.

Of course it is not. Others interrupted it that is all. Had by some miracle Trump's challenges been successful and fraudulent ballots found and results changed then he would have peacefully won and peacefully continued as President. Of course I doubt the Dems would have remained "peaceful".

    Interesting game of "What IF"...
    Let me try one...
Had by some miracle Bat Boy's challenges been successful and fraudulent ballots found and results changed then he would have peacefully won and peacefully taken over as President. Of course I doubt that the GOP would have remained "peaceful".
Now, back to the actual topic of Quinn Mitchell:
As was mentioned earlier, he was let back into the event
This teenage kid is making quite a name for himself on social media...
I see a cage match with Kyle Rittenhouse in his future...

MAGA / Trumpocity is a cross between Hitlerism and Stalinism ( in the way it operates) and aims to replace democracy with a dictatorship. The MAGA cultists are completely anti American. De Santis is nothing but a Trumpocity wanna be. DeSantoids are nothing but another cult.

Ahh yes another overly emotional left wing teen looking for his 15 mins of fame. Reminds me of that one teem whom I've already forgotten the name of who was super anti gun. Gave passionate speeches full of nothing.

How was he looking for attention? He was just sitting there like everyone else. Didn't know a 15 year old participating in civil discourse is a threat to republicans.
