Racism is 'a virus', says Pope Francis, warning of lurking threat

I think Pope Francis is correct in this instance. For the most part, social progress is not as real or definitive as we think.

I don't believe that racial discrimination will ever not be a problem. The people that practice it pretend their behavior has no negative impact on others and the ones the ones that bury their heads are complicit. The only way change can happen is for people to be honest with themselves and one another. Until then, it's all just going through the motions leading nowhere.

Religion is a virus if you ask me. And Catholicism happens to be one of the worst.
