I don't disagree with you that the marriage comment girl was attacked for her comments. But you are evading the point now--her attack was the result of her publicly-stated position, NOT her skin color. And you certainly DID attempt an analogy between the two.

    Beautiful woman, congrats.

This is all the cause of one thing, anonymity.

As long as people are kept in the dark online they will post the most vile things about everyone, no matter what they're ideals, opinions or stances are.

Congrats again, I would take on three of those Internet trolls at once for a night with that beauty!

Why is Twitter so infested with extremists? There is mostly liberal prog commies using it but now it seems racists are on it as well. Opposite sides of the same coin.

    What's "sexist about it"

So if they let drag queens or transgenders participate, then it wouldn't be "sexist"? Uh... okay gotcha

Nothing's stopping anyone from starting a "Mr. America pageant".

No, the white nationalist sites and twits all dump on liberals for encouraging racial integration. Twitter is not that much a liberal thing. Try again.

Sure it is. Over the past few years these liberal prog commies have used every venue they could to spew their propaganda in a cowardly way.

I see we're done here. By the way, I know that guy--Saul Rubinek. He had Dodger season tickets right in front of me. Turns out he attended the same synogogue as my boss...

What is sexist about the who's prettiest competition? About "competing" in a swimsuit without a drop of water in sight? I would have to explain what sexism is, not how the competition is.

I know that guy by the way... lol... that's meatball. I know who took that pic too...

    *Ahem*

See a drop of water there? I sure don't ;)

No you'd have to get educated on what "sexism" is - because right now it sounds like the only "sexist" is you dude.

Never heard you railing against "World's Strongest Man Competition", or "Mr Universe" competition

Thanks - I disagree with the last part - I liked the two Dalton films better than most of them, especially a lot of the Moore films and some of the later Connery films (as well as the Brosnan films other than Goldeneye) - The Living Daylights is my personal favorite Bond film - Licence to Kill isn't bad either, though it feels more like a generic action film and less like a true Bond film.

Worlds strongest man is an actual competition. They are also not "pretty" lifters. Mr. Universe is no better than Miss America... yet that does not rationalize either. Straight men tend not to watch Mr. Universe either... not really the point.

Let's take porn, as a for instance... even though there are men and women in it, it is typically misogynistic and degrading to women.

Miss America, and its popularity, are rooted in sexual objectification. That they are competing on almost no skill with almost 0 intellect for "who is prettiest" is sexist, whether or not you are comfortable calling it that. I think Jon Stewart said it best... "The Miss America contest shows the value of diversity... of women sized 0 to 2."

It is an exercise in objectification... and it is demeaning. I don't actually require you to get it... but it would be nice if you did.

Frustrating to no end isn't it.

It's either sexist because we are "exposing women's bodies" or it's sexist to not have it due to women's rights.

It is sexist because their value is completely based in their "hotness". How do people not understand this?

This is why sites like Twitchy and other reports of Tweets by God-knows-who are bad for us. It's called anecdotal evidence, meaning just because you observe something doesn't mean you have scientific data to support a trend of any kind.

    That's kind of a "sexist" statement. ;)

You're ignorant as to the definition of "misogynistic" and just re-writing that to fit your agenda.

With the exception of some type of 'fetish' porn depicting rape or bondage or something like that - you're incorrect - sex is a natural human function, and if you find it "demeaning" that's your problem - nature says otherwise

So is Mr Universe - again what's your point? There's nothing inherantly "wrong" with "sexual objectification" - just like there's nothing inherantly "wrong" with physical objectification (ex. sports, martial arts competitions, etc)

It's entertainment - saying there's "no skill" involved is debatable. As for intellect, that's also debatable and more of a sexist stereotype than anything

Though for that matter, there's little to no "skill" involved in being born with a high IQ - what do you have to say about High IQ societies like MENSA?

Then they should just let women sized 200 be on and you'd be down with that right? - Again, there's nothing stopping women sized 200 from starting their own "Ms Jabba the Hut competition" - or stopping men who weigh 85 lbs from starting their own "World's Strongest Wimp" competition - instead if whining and demanding "affirmative action".

What next - I bet you're going to say that football is "sexist" and "objectifying" towards men, because it degrades them by portraying them as "mindless animals idolized just for being born with too much testosterone and 0 skill".

Football is an "exercise in objectification" - it's demeaning towards men and portrays them as stereotypical mindless brutes valued for nothing but their physical powers

Not to mention only gay men watch football - they just want to stare at some guy's ass in tights

It's like I'm talking to an Iranian Mullah here.

But again, you're proving that it's you who's sexist, because you're singling out women with your outdated anti-woman nonsense.

Sorry but I tend to be more creeped out by people with negative sexual obsessions with women, because unlike a woman who (gasp) appears on Ms. America, they're known to keep body parts in their closet, or blow up children in hopes of landing 72 virgins and curing that repression in the afterlife.

    How is that sexist?

I have several guy friends here in LA who are models, are they sexist? Heck their value is LITERALLY based on their "hotness".

My one friend did a Carl's Jr commercial, he took a bite of a freakin cheeseburger and made a quarter mill.

These women have to do SEVERAL categories and no they are not all based on "hotness". From what I can see this Indian-American is a hell of a dancer as well, I didn't look at her answers but usually the winners are at least capable of thought.

So why is it sexist for women and not men?

To back it up further, being that hot is NOT an easy job. Most of these women put several hours a day into fitness, nutrition and other dietary needs.

The fact that this is sexist to you, however it isn't with men, is very strange to me...

Then football is "sexist" because their value is completely based on their "strong-ness"

Not to mention, anyone under a min 160 lbs is probably never going to be able to play football past high school - so it's a form of discrimination against men who don't meet the physical standards that society expects of them. *Yawn*

Because most people live in the 21st century, and tend to have a 21st century understanding of things, rather than a 1st century.

Oh you mean like gays and black Americans being the same? They are both about freedom and no prejudice held against them. She never said anything exclusionary about the gay community, only that she supports traditional marriage, so do you think the hateful prejudice against her is fair?
