I think if this proposal gets any traction you'll find that 14 Trillion is just a down payment,

If any people deserve reparations it's the indigenous people who settled North America long before LeBron James' or Al Sharpton's ancestors ever arrived here. Those people suffered a lot. I can't understand why California doesn't owe them reparations as well.

 

What is stopping Democrats from making donations to make up for their history of oppression?

 

Very few will save the money or properly invest it. If ever passed it would happen in a form of gradual payments I am sure. They will spend it on luxury items rather than building wealth. The wealthy in the end will wind up with more money because of their culture. How many people Winn three million (the advocates for number by a Florida black reparations advocate) and invest rather than blow it when they win the lottery?

When they realize they are in the same boat with a few luxury items but once again broke they will want more. They will claim it wasn’t enough just as they claim affirmative action was not enough. If they do pass something like this I think it should be coupled with making affirmative action policies and any other race based legislation illegal.

I personally would like to see it attached to a stipulation of giving up citizenship and a one way flight to a country they so adamantly claim to be ripped away from during the slave trade. The money will help poor African nations as well and we will get rid of the constant complaint.

 

And the Democrats wonder why Republicans want spending cuts in exchange for raising the debt ceiling...lol

Later on they threw out the number $97 trillion for value of the work taken from Blacks by this corrupt system. I wonder if that is adjusted for inflation and further enhanced by the accrued interest over 400 years?

And yea, this might be the down payment. Why should only this generation of Blacks get reparations? Aren’t all future generations entitled to them too?

Let’s hope no one takes them seriously. Between the public funds that will be required to care for the 6 million and counting migrants and the reparations to Blacks, the financial system will be completely broken.
