Absolutely horrific. It's unfathomable that children could be treated this way. At risk children were beaten, tortured and in some cases sexually assaulted. Some of those assaults resulted in pregnancies and those students were given abortion. It's ridiculous the co-founder who helped hide the abuse was sentenced to only 6 months in jail. I think a heavier sentence was warranted.

 

Since the school closed in 2014, from what financial resource are these defendants expected to collect any money?

 

Where the hell are the criminal charges for those who sexually abused these children, etc?

I assume the rapists were "diverse" foreign nationals and we can't have the justice department going after people who check two of the boxes on the progressive score card. Not sure American states can charge foreign nationals who are residing in their country of origin. Not surprised that the pedophilic federal government isn't going for federal charges against the scum. TBH, I am quite happy to have them off of American soil. Why should the taxpayers pay to have them extradited and imprisoned here in America? Much much much much better to ensure that they never come here again.

I have some conflicting feelings about this. It's absolutely horrible the treatment some of those children suffer in children's camps. (This is much more common than people think, although usually the mistreatment is of a type of that is much lower level)
I think there should perhaps be criminal charges against those involved.

And yes, it is appropriate for the company to pay out some money.

But I'm mostly against lawsuits with excessive payouts of money, and do not believe ridiculously gigantic payouts of money should be used to get "justice".

Not unless this was just being used as an excuse by the court to make sure the company goes bankrupt and can never operate again.

We also have to remember many of the children in these sorts of camps are more difficult to deal with children, so usually such camps are set up to be very controlling and have tough punishments to deal with that type of population of children, with almost the type of feel of a prison.

This happened all the way till 2014. The statue of limitations is not into effect. I found that the co founder was send to jail over it.
And in the end, we're talking about rape and forced abortions. Children as young as 7 got STD's. So we're also talking about pedophilia.
That is besides that they got tortured. And they is a group of 32. So that's just 3 million per victim. It's not an amazingly high amount.
