The writing has been on the wall for a while. Thankfully most of us already have accounts on alternative platforms that only prohibit illegal speech.
That's good. I've been saying for years that other platforms with other policies need to get going. I've been told for years that FB is a monopoly, and needed to be regulated, instead. I'm a market-of-ideas gal, all the way. Let freedom ring! Competition only makes things better.
