Should Religious companies have to pay taxes and why? I personally think it is absurd that they don't have to pay the same amount as everyone elses businesses.
I can understand where the law came from in the beginning, but is there an argument for special cases for religions, even if one turned out to be true?
That's right. Churches are exempt, but Heaven and Earth Bookstore is not. What businesses are being referred to? If you are referring to churches as businesses, I agree with both the characterization and the problem you have with them being exempt.
What do you call "business" in this context? And what form of tax are you thinking about?
