Just War Theory, would that be helpful in a political discussion?

    1. War must be the last resort after all peaceful solutions
    have been tried and failed.

    2. There must be a good chance of success.

    3. The war must be fought with the intention of
    promoting good and overcoming evil.

    4. The war must have a just cause.

    5. The war must be started and controlled by the
recognized ruling authority (such as the government)

I don't know that much about it, the criteria don't seem outrageous, but they seem quite subjective. Drawing the line of whether an alternative has failed, or whether the sides are "good" or "evil", or what makes a cause "just", seems subjective. People wanting to wage war will have no problem speaking in these terms if they have to. So I don't mind it as such, but is "helpful in a political discussion"? I doubt it.

In real life the just war criteria are usually pretty obvious if the facts are
available, but the US news is there to persuade not inform and that
    muddies the waters.

In reality some diplomats from Ukraine and Russia met in Turkey and
after many drafts reached a peace agreement, and penciled it for
signature on Apr 1 2022, about 6 weeks into the present stage of the
    war in Ukraine.

The United States and Britain told Zelenskyy not to sign it because he
would have the backing of both the countries and would win.

I'm not sure whether this is a response to me, or just general musings.

I think the above shows a great example to why the approach couldn't possibly be useful in politics, because there is no such thing as an unbiased information flow, especially surrounding war. The only people who think they have the facts solely on their side are those who have been particularly duped. The Just War theory seems to me to paint an unrealistic picture of the information space, while not being able to present anything useful in any actual, real information space.

    This is kind of shocking.....

thank you immensely for telling us about this!?

This reminds me of a series of lectures by a former Atheist who had a near death experience and since that time has
studied to become an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi.......

Rabbi Alon Anava is a major leader in the fight against what Sir Winston Churchill termed "The High Cabal."

Rabbi Alon Anava adds the Hebrew name for the same thing......

It is my opinion that the leaders of that "High Cabal" or Eruv Rav.....

are terrified of President Donald J. Trump and have been using BigMedia that they own against him.......

.... and they have been using their people in high places in the CIA and FBI as well.

In the following documentary you will find out that Mr. Al Gore's professor....
was a part of a group who wanted to link the price and supply of oil to

the fiat currencies of the world.......

a Carbon Tax accomplishes exactly that.........

and gives bureaucrats in the USA and Canada and all the world the

control that they need to accomplish the specifics of the Bill Gates lecture.....

    "Innovating to zero."

Why Big Oil conquered the world
