Remember those faster-than-light neutrinos? Great, now forget 'em OOPS!!! Nothing can travel faster than the speed of light...sorry
I just want to point out that the original findings of traveling faster than light, and these new findings claiming GPS lag, are both tentative. Neither has been confirmed yet. For example, for the original faster than light claim, CERN stated that this is what looks like happened, but there is a lot of work to do to be sure and confirm it. As for this, CERN claims they accounted for the GPS effect detailed in this article (read that in another article about the same thing, but I forget which one, so I can't link it). The media sometimes likes to sensationalize and make things appear more absolute than they are.
The neutrinos are fired deep under the Italian Apennines to the Gran Sasso lab... Faster-than-light neutrino experiment to be run again 28 October 2011 : Scientists who announced that sub-atomic particles might be able to travel faster than light are to rerun their experiment in a different way.
Actually, CERN said that they wanted others to show them the mistake that they made because they couldn't find it.
Fermi Lab has also seen FTL neutrinos but the statistical significance was to low to take any serious note. However, Fermilab is increasing there Electron Volt Generator so, they may indeed verify OPERA's findings.
I usually do not correct someone's spelling, but when a "giant's" name is misspelled, I must. P L A N C K, please.
