I simply focused on the part that was on-topic. We're talking about gun laws in the US, and at a stretch, how they compare to the rest of the world.

This was the full quote from 2018 WH meeting from Donald Trump ...

“Or, Mike, take the firearms first and then go to court, because that’s another system. Because a lot of times, by the time you go to court, it takes so long to go to court, to get the due process procedures. I like taking the guns early. Like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida, he had a lot of firearms – they saw everything – to go to court would have taken a long time, so you could do exactly what you’re saying, but take the guns first, go through due process second.

I'm not by any means suggesting that Australia is a faultless paradise, but no, with the exception of a couple of rough outer suburbs we actually do not have cities full of ghettos and thugs.

Oh no, but you clearly have a boat load of negative crap to say about America, and American gun owners.. Again, your country didn't have a problem with firearms as long as they were used to lower the population of indigenous only when the Australian turn their firearms on one another did they become concerned :)

I like America and think schools being shot up is a national tragedy and shame. If you want to label that as "negative crap", you go for it. It's a valid ON TOPIC criticism. You seem to be incapable of debating the topic and just want to argue and get personal

Personal? Every time you post it's personal, you don't live here, and you clearly don't take all the facts in to consideration, and that's more than obvious..

It's just the blatant hypocrisy that I find fascinating.. Look at us, twenty six million folks on a island with less crime then 340 million surrounded by open boarders and inundated by criminal, gangs, thugs from every corner of the planet LMAO :)

So the answer is, the law abiding need to turn their weapons in LMFAO :)

why do you want a government that tells others to do what you want them to have to do?

I'm not suggesting that is feasible. It worked in Australia but it won't work in the US.

    Some questions for everyone.

    1. What should the age requirement be to purchase a gun?
    2. Should gun purchasers be required to take a gun safety course including a test like a driver's test?
    3. Should gun purchasers be required to go through some sort of verification process including a psych evaluation?

I am pro second amendment, but it seems dangerous when a mentally disturbed 18 year old can purchase guns. Your thoughts?

    1. 18 to buy a pistol or a rifle with a standard 10 bullet clip or the capacity of the rifle internally if bolt action. 21 to buy any weapon that holds more than its pistol grip or standard 10 round rifle clip allows or any external clip/magazine that holds more than 10 rounds

    2. The NRA offers such to adults and to minors. Minors and those under 21 should be required to take such a thing. After 21 it’s a right to keep and bear arms.

    3. I have no problem with instant background checks of a database for the purchase of a gun.

It was your view when you wanted to lock us down, lock us out of our churches, close our businesses, make us wear face diapers, and force us to inject our bodies and show you our papers to prove we did. My body my choice didn’t apply to you then.

the right wants to force big government on the people

the left wants government to help if it's asked for, such as with health insurance

At least tell the truth. The Trump administration never ever forced a business or a church to close. Several states did not lock down and he did nothing about it, saying it was a federalism matter. The Trump administration never mandates mask wearing upon the states or any group. They only recommended them indoors or where social distancing was not possible. As to the lie that he mandated vaccines….well when he left office only first responders, health workers, and seniors in care homes or over 80 had received it yet. He still to this day recommends the vaccine while saying it’s a personal choice. It was biden who created vaccine mandates and demanded proof at the federal level where he could do so. Why make stuff up?

All of it was on the suggestion of his admin. Typical trump, suggest something then blame someone else for doing it lol
