Biden is President and he is short on details to say the least. If you recall, his State of the Union speech proposed free child care to address inflation. lol When things are like they are now, a Republican alternative at least provides some hope compared to the known failure of Biden. That being said, thinking voters will demand specifics, not platitudes from either party. I have asked here in several threads for Democrat supporters to provide Biden's solutions to inflation and other problems and they never do. They just bleat talking points about the global economy, greedy capitalism, Putin, Trump, Putin, Trump, Putin Trump....... As if Biden is not President and the Dems do not control Contress.

We need some budget shutdowns to get the out-of-control spending under control. The problem is the Republicans always cave on the budget going back to the sell out Speaker Newt Gingrich. These shutdown are Democrat political theatre staged for the low information voters and the unwashed, i.e. people who would prefer to avoid short term inconvienance even if it means long term destruction of the country. During the Obama administration I went hiking in a nearby National Park almost every day. For years I never saw a single park ranger. Not one. For years. During a budget shutdown they closed the park. I told my wife, I was not going hiking as Obama would have park rangers arresting hikers as part of the shutdown theatre. And guess what. I was right. What a joke. Arresting people for hiking in a national park to get the Republicans to cave on a drunken sailor spending bill.

I didn’t ask for the Democrat solution, I already know they don’t really have one. All of the items that should be on the table are removed for one of the two parties if not both. Raising interest rates, increasing taxes, taxing stock transactions and stopping stimulus packages have all been recommended as potential solutions and they are implementing 3 out of 4 of them.

My question was what are the plans from the Republicans? Them simply saying we are going to do this — the democrats suck — isn’t enough
