What if she went to NewsMax TV instead? Don’t you think the term “go to Mexican” is inappropriate?

Democrats thought Hispanics were going to be like black people. They'd keep voting favorably no matter how shitty their lives were. That's clearly not the case. Hillary insulted Black America by saying she kept hot sauce in her purse, and they loved her for it. Jill Biden compared corner stores to the capital of Colombia. That was not well received.

Democrats are quick to point out that the majority of Hispanics vote for them, but it doesn't take a big swing to influence an election. Also, the potential permanent majority status the Democrats envisioned is all but gone.

I do recall you've been fine with Dems doing trolling tho. If memory serves, you've been okay with Pelosi doing it. In any event, she's keeping her name recognition out in the public eye - It's prolly looking good for her by the time the elections come around. That and the fact she's cuter than everyone else out there running for the spot.

No, she is not. Secular progressive is not mainstream.

AOC is as "Mainstream Hispanic" as Flores is...
The only difference is that in January 2023, AOC will be going back to Congress and Flores won't be.

You assume a lot. Like that Hispanics coming over from the other district aren’t making a similar shift toward the GOP or that her husband being a border patrol agent won’t be a plus for her with the border being such an issue in that region. I think that Mayra more mainstream to Hispanic culture than AOC is

She got 15k votes in a district with a population of over 700k. I don’t think that says much about her prospects in November.

You don't think her being an incumbent who is getting national press and is representing La Raza is gonna change that?

I'm not making any predictions but I think you may be underestimating her. Come to think of it, underestimating AOC is how she got where she is today when you consider who she beat.

I’m only saying winning a race with awful turnout doesn’t speak to her chances in November. I’m not counting her out at all.

Politicians have been failing all the people for decades. The sooner citizens of this country recognize, the sooner we vote out all the old cronies. Half of the Senate is 65 or older. They lost touch with the people, if they ever even had that.

Exactly and Flores is a working/middle class person representing traditional American values like God, country, and family. These two women are a microcosm of what the two political parties now represent.

Someone is grasping at straws calling this an opinion article for quoting a Republican congress person. Another case of reporting the news while conservative openly discriminated against by biased people here

don't like when it happens on your side?
don't politicians from BOTH side get ripped on for a while when they say something stupid? Jill's taco comment was STUPID and deserves to be ripped on. Remember when Trump said he could shoot someone in the street and nobody cares? That was STUPID. He was ripped on for that for a while (and deserved it).
This stuff happens on both sides
How come you guys can dish it out but can't take it in?
    huh?

Republican Mayra Flores Accuses Democrat Opponent Of Paying Blogger For Racist Posts
    [IMG]
South Texas blogger labels Flores "Miss Frijoles" and uses sexually crude language...

Miss Frijoles? That's pretty close to calling her a "beaner". And on the heels of Jill Biden's Tacogate?

“Miss Frijoles,” “Miss Menudo,” “Miss Enchiladas,” and a “cotton-pickin’ liar.”

    Are you serious?

“Does Flores Want Trump to Come & Take Her [expletive]???”

    "
He was unapologetic for the language used in the blog. The self-described ultra-left Democratic blogger said he had no regrets using “satire” to describe Flores or “punching hard” at Republicans. He said Gonzalez and other politicians pay him to run photos with wording akin to a headline."

"Flores became the first Republican elected in the heavily Hispanic Rio Grande District in more than 100 years. The devout Christian won a special election for the district on a conservative platform of God, family, and country."

Clearly her success has raised the ire of some leftist racist misogynistic haters operating to further the interests of the Democrat Party.

Democrats frequently refuse to recognize the legitimacy of elections they lose. 'The latest example is the Democrat congressman who lost the special election for Texas 34 Congressional District to Republican Mayra Flores, whom he claims stole the election from him.'

Dems assure us that those that deny elections are worse than 9/11 terrorists.

“Our democracy is at stake…there’s millions and millions of dollars from outside our region and outside our state that are coming here to try to steal our elections and take away your value and take away the process that we rely on, which is elections,” Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-Texas) said.'
