The question is do most Liberals want to limit people's right to say politically incorrect things. Even if The First Amendment is not repealed, there may be other avenues of censorship like pressuring Social media to ban controversial groups, and blacklisting people for raising incorrect issues.

Given that HRC will probably win, it is likely that Liberals will in fact take steps to destroy Freedom of Speech.

That was Hillary's very first campaign promise when she entered the race.

Now that gays have marriage, the next progression is to expand their special protections with things like hate speech' and punishing churches for calling them sinners. Hillary would welcome anything that could be used to further weaken America and our freedoms...

I'm still waiting for Obama to outlaw christianity, throw all republicans in FEMA camps, and declare the US a muslim caliphate. We were promised those things would happen by the right. What happened? Could there perhaps be some embellishment in your assertion that Hillary will destroy freedom of speech?

They pay taxes and can be sued. Do you think unions are actually people? Both unions and corporations are mad up of people so why should a union get to donate union dues to politicians and a corporation not be able to?

Do you have a First Amendment right now? Have YOU been censored? (yeah it's a rhetorical question)

Maybe if they quit playing games and formally trash the Constitution, especially the First and Second Amendments, somebody will rise up in indignation and demand accountability.

So, yeah, let's go ahead and repeal the First... just like we're doing to the rest of the Bill of Rights.

    Uh, yes:

Official Statecraft of the United States of America, the first one was posted on the State Department's website:

"The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others." (Clinton)

"We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others." (Obama)

“Let me state very clearly that the United States has absolutely nothing to do with this video. We absolutely reject its contents.” (Clinton) http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/...-pakistan-ad-denouncing-anti-muslim-film?lite

“‘We’re going to have that person arrested and prosecuted that did the video,’ said Hillary Clinton.”
    http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/331806/incredible-shrinking-president-mark-steyn

“The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam." (Obama)

“You cannot call the Prophet Mohammed an ‘abomination’ and then state that the religion of Islam needs to be destroyed on this forum. That is textbook definition hate speech.” http://www.debatepolitics.com/relig...phet-mohammed-abomination.html#post1057910795

    - - - Updated - - -

republicans want to get rid of the 1st as they do not like religious freedom and they want to enact blasphemy laws

and they do not like to create fare polls either :)

course many on the right don't really understand what free speech it

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/31/palin-criticism-threatens_n_139729.html

"Palin told WMAL-AM that her criticism of Obama's associations, like those with 1960s radical Bill Ayers and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, should not be considered negative attacks. Rather, for reporters or columnists to suggest that it is going negative may constitute an attack that threatens a candidate's free speech rights under the Constitution, Palin said."

Liberals would love nothing more than to censor opposition, plain and simple.

The progressives prove this very much by trying their hardest to keep people from Trump rallies, right wing guest speaker events, or pretty much anything that goes against liberal dogma.

Many, perhaps of people have been blacklisted by Liberals for speech.

    - - - Updated - - -

I left USSR in 1980 -- in Socialist countries, anti socialist speech was a felony.

Of course it is not illegal here, but liberals will try to run you out of town or possibly physically attack you for disagreeing with them.

By the late '70s, in USSR many people criticized Communism and only a few of those offenders were punished. Up to 1953, the crime of anti-Communist propaganda was prosecuted. Since 1956 that crime was tolerated. In 1980, millions of people in USSR had engaged in anti-Communist speech, but only a few thousand of them were in prison or asylum.

In USA 2016 most people guilty of Political Incorrectness will lose their jobs. This is not USSR.

Give the progressives time, if they get their way the USSR will be a fond memory for you.
