So when African Americans get paid for the work they did in the slave era. Does it mean that then African Americans are going to be assigned to white families so they get to carry on working and in return for that work they keep receiving these reperations?
Also can African Americans opt out of reperations if they don't want to work? I think that's only fair because if they are forced to work for white folk without a choice, that will be seen by some as bad (even though they will be receiving reperations). Not as bad as slavery (which we realise was a mistake and are making good by paying the African Americans off) but in my opinion I don't think it would be considered ethical. In definitely on the left and would argue against the right and believe it should be pro choice. African Americans should have a choice!
