    I'm not a record keeper for the United States. All any of us can do is look at the statistics as they are reported. There are numerous articles on the excess deaths we've been experiencing since March. Cheers.

    So... back to the original topic. The Big 10 and now the PAC 12 have decided to push fall sports to the spring. And who might they play against? It is unlikely that other power 5 leagues are going to follow suit at this point. The Big 12, the SEC, the ACC all look like they are going to stay committed to the fall schedule. The players are getting behind it, and frankly, their ask for a players council is a direct rebuke to the NCAA geriatric squad that has so mismanaged this golden egg, it's embarrassing.

    For the schools who thought that they could just go do their own thing, who cares? They seem to believe that their national audience will follow them. I would think they should have consulted MLB or MLH for how that's going for them first...

    I'm not entirely clear on the totality of what you're getting at, but good to be back on topic.

    My thoughts:

    1) Football as we know it is a dying sport.

    2) The Big 12, SEC, ACC, etc. WILL follow the Big 10's lead; the writing's been on the wall for months now.

    3) Democrats and wildly egomaniacal players who think they're bigger than the games they play killed collegiate sport this year, and maybe forever.
