Republican Congressman kicked off primary ballot

    Colorado Rep. Doug Lamborn won't be on the GOP primary ballot because of a ridiculous state law about ballot petitions.

    IMO, the law in question should be struck down. It is an unreasonable restriction on the right of representation. The important thing in candidate petitions is that the SIGNATURES be from people in the district. The home address of the people collecting the signatures is completely irrelevant.

    Indeed, that is what the court openly suggested the state do:

    Let's hope they do so. Pointless restrictions on ballot access or the right to vote should not stand.
