The Arab Summer has claimed yet another despotic ruler as rebels claimed the Libyan capital of Tripoli last night signalling the end to Qadaffi's . Gadaffi's sons were arrested but Col. Gadaffi himself managed to allude capture. This move signaled the end of Gadaffi's 42 year rule in Libya as the democratic fervor continues to grow roots in a Middle East that has long been known for constant war, brutal despotism and religious fanaticism.

Today US President Barack Obama noted Gadaffi's downfall "The Gaddafi regime has reached a tipping point. Tripoli is slipping from the grasp of a tyrant. The Gaddafi regime is showing signs of collapsing." The US government has recognized the legitimacy of the Transitional National Council as Libya's current government and urged its members to push Libya towards a true democracy.

Meanwhile, the House Republicans disagreed with Obama.

"We will oppose any official recognition of the Transitional National Council as well as acknowledgement that Gadaffi has lost power in Libya unless we can come to an agreement with the Democrats on cutting SS programs and further decreasing the job-killing taxes that the wealthy have to suffer through during this economic downturn" stated current House Speaker John Boehner in a press conference earlier this morning. "Furthermore, we refuse to congratulate the Libyan people on successfully overthrowing a tyrant unless President Obama can finally act like a leader and help us pass a Constitutional Amendment to force a balanced budget. The American People want tax cuts for the rich and are behind us when we say that the tax burden should be shared by everyone, especially the poor and middle-class."

The White House signaled in a short press release that it was willing to keep SS cuts on the table because it is "very important that the US acknowledges the events that have transpired in Libya as Gadaffi, a prominent sponsor of terrorism, is removed from power."

"Oh, in that case, not only do we require a Constitutional amendment to balance the budget, tax cuts for the rich but we also want to posthumously declare Ronald Reagan as Supreme Chancellor," quickly replied Rep. Cantor.

"Not going to happen" retorted the White House.

"We see that the Democrats are unwilling to budge in these negotiations so we have no choice but to once again walk out effectively ending these talks" said Mitch McConnell's press office, further adding "We congratulate Col. Gadaffi in his continued victory over the terrorists that are seeking to destroy his government."

No further comments have been released from the White House at this time but we will keep you updated.

Good for them. But, it took obama shredding our own Constitution for them to do it. And there is a good chance that they mostly alqueda.
    But, good for them anyway.
It's like a skit on Saturday Night Live.
