'Herman Cain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are in a dead heat as the top choices for Iowans likely to attend the Jan. 3 Republican presidential caucuses.
A Bloomberg News poll shows Cain at 20 percent, Paul at 19 percent, Romney at 18 percent and Gingrich at 17 percent among the likely attendees with the caucuses that start the nominating contests seven weeks away.'
Economic issues such as jobs, taxes and government spending are driving voter sentiment, rather than such social issues as abortion and gay marriage, the poll finds. Only about a quarter of likely caucus-goers say social or constitutional issues are more important to them, compared with 71 percent who say fiscal concerns.
The poll reflects the race’s fluidity, with 60 percent of respondents saying they still could be persuaded to back someone other than their top choice, and 10 percent undecided. Paul’s support is more solidified than his rivals, while Cain’s is softer. All of the major contenders have issue challenges to address.

There maybe hope yet...I was starting to give up.

    It is Iowa..

    Paul will win..

    Who cares?
If Romney would win on The road at an away game in a packed against him field that would be a huge upset.
Tea party religious people voting how their church says to vote..not their pocket book.
Instead of worrying about how much better they are not because of Obama ..they are worrying about their souls in Heaven..as if voting for a Mormon condemns them to a dark world below..
The church should worry about those souls..not the politics of an individual...
Ooops..But he is a Mormon.. a cult follower.

So give Paul the win..Romney finishes a close 3rd beind Newt..maybe 4th..which would place IOWA where it should be ..
A place to drive through every 4 years.

Ho ho. This is rich. Once a poll suggests he has a very good shot of winning states, the talking point from the Paulophobes suddenly becomes "even if he wins a state, he still has no shot!"

You'd probably be saying he has no shot right up until he won the GOP convention, at which point you'd likely vote Obama.

It seems to me the ONLY ones focusing on Romney's religion are Obama supporters. I guess you are glossing over the FACT that right now and for most of the time, Romney leads Republican polls during this primary race.
