Why should dark money be any different?

It looks like Republicans are more corrupt, after all.

Alternately, they are preventing the harassment of their donor base because the leftist mob will go after them when they learn who and what they really support.

Doubt it? Just remember what the left did to the supreme court justices after the repeal of Row v Wade. And it was illegal and they got a pass, because it's fashionable to be a leftist thug.

As I just said dark money doesn't go to the candidate; direct contributions do. Some of the organizations have no connection to the candidate. Those funds are tracked and reported separately. Check out OpenSecrets.org.
And giving the lunatic left's "peaceful protestors" divulging names could be dangerous.

Gee, you watched the Canadian trucker protests along with the rest of us. You watched along with the rest of us what the elite did to the ordinary folks who donated to the protest. You literally are not safe if you donate to a conservative cause and the Democrats find out about it. They will ruin you. They will dox your name, sic the MSM on you, attempt to get you fired, etc... we all know the drill. If the left was not filled to the brim with terrorists who hate ordinary people and frothing at the mouth to destroy their lives, I would be fully behind this.

Given that a leftist loon just murdered a conservative (for his beliefs) in cold blood this week and is already out on bond, you surely can understand our reluctance to give out our names to the mob.

Also, remember that dark money is not money sent to a candidate for office, but instead is a donation to a Super Pac that spends money in its own right in favor of a candidate or policy position.

Got it so it’s ok to give the names of direct donations? That doesn’t make any sense.

Why, because they have more money of course

The Republicans are the Plutocrat Party, don't you understand?

Never mind, just pay your taxes so Elon Musk won't have to pay any. Maybe he'll let you watch his next rocket launch financed by what used to be your Social Security.

But dems have a list of largest republican donors. Which of these donors have dems doxxed, threatened and harassed?

Once again, for possible comprehension - the issue isn't mega donors. Smaller donor donating to PACs, etc. could easily be doxed from donor lists.

What's the difference? What makes a smaller donor more likely to be doxxed, harassed or threatened compared to a mega-donor?

Of course. Got to keep those secret Kremlin donations secret, you know.

Why should some donations be public and not others?

They're not - donations to PACs, etc, are public; see OpenSecrets.org.

No, you don't have it. And I'm getting tired of leading you along. So, let's cut to the chase - the reason I don't like exposing small donors names is because the left has because such a crazed, irrational, combative cohort; their beloved leader calls half the population "semi-fascists". Quite frankly you guys have among you a large number of people who've demonstrated they have no compunction using violence to get their way. Just look at some of the vicious posts on this form. Look at the damage wreaked because of the Roe decision. You have too many friggin' lunatics in your midst. High ticket donors can afford personal securing, less wealthy not so much.

    Bullseye out.

You think people are more likely to dox someone who donates $10k over someone who donates millions?

So you’d be ok with making all large donations public?

You are right, but left out the other party that is just as bad. (If not worse) Why did you leave them out?

It's really not about who the donator is, but more about WHO is receiving all that seed money.. I'm sure the bottom line when it comes to LARGE donationa, is what does/do they buy from the recipient(s)

Those are the folks that don't "Really want it known" ;)

It's a dog and pony show put on for your benefit, and look how well their performance is :) Why would either party want those donors and the amounts disclosed? How does that even make sense to you
    upload_2022-9-23_10-18-48.png

You think "The DNC" now getting the lion's share of that money is really interested is disclosing it's amounts and donors? You might ask yourself, "SELF, why aren't those DNC do-gooders already practicing what they preach" LMFAO..

    Hook-Line-stinker.

No political donations, dark or otherwise, should be anonymous, PACs or candidates, anyone opposing such raises questions concerning why, which we have here
