    https://www.businessinsider.com/gop-wants-cut-wic-low-income-baby-food-parents-2023-7

Is this what it means to be pro-life? Or does pro-life mean being pro-life up until the baby leaves the womb? Is the GOP going to tackle issues like putting food on the table for innocent children or are they too busy making bills about drag queens?

They are pro birth — specifically pro forced birth. After that the child should pick itself by its bootstraps.

The same people that want to make children have their rapists child, I guess it shouldn’t be totally surprising that they don’t care if they starve afterwards.

This always comes to mind when I see these rabid posts from so called “pro-life” individuals

I make 20 grand a year and I'm overqualified for food stamps.

People that receive food stamps shouldn't be able to buy junk food with food stamps anyways. Then we the people get to pay for their poor health in the coming years

Aren't food stamp regulations Federal across all 50 states?

I’m just saying red states are tight with the public assistance.
The transportation Secretary isn’t in charge of the supply chain, way too many local govts, private businesses and labor unions involved .

Only minimums I think, pretty sure states can provide more. Hawaii pays double some states apparently

I'm not interested in what you think, I'm interested in federal standards and how you think that they don't apply to all 50 states

In practice, however, the presence of local SNAP offices, the way benefits are calculated, and varying regional economic circumstances result in some notable differences in SNAP benefits by state.

So you don't really know if any red States sets the poverty guideline higher than blue States.

I think we all know the answer to this. The same people who are working out ever more elaborate ways for government to control & monitor pregnant women & trans people will let babies die screaming for lack of food or medical care because 'gubmint baaaaad'.

NONE of this is about the welfare of children and anyone who says it is has either been fooled or is straight out lying.

    Because you have no dependents.
This is the states, its all junk food.

Even the eating too much greens will kill ya thanks to E-coli an roundup. What ever is good for you is priced out of range and would only increase the cost of the program.

IDK, but there would a healthy overlap between this benefit and the child tax credit and earned income tax credit for parents who work, so it may not be that dire for many.

Nice chart. Here is another chart. Gee it is u-shaped just like yours. I am sure that the skyrocketing percent of old women giving birth has no impact on maternal death rate.

If increasing maternal age were a factor then the USA should be in line with other developed countries

Quote; “Then we the people get to pay for their poor health in the coming years’

NOTE; If you only make 20 grand a year, then “We, the People” EXCLUDES YOU
