Per an August 4th article in the Virginia-Pilot: An interesting turn of events, no? One question that came to my mind: can this be made into a class action? I'm sure a good many people feel the same as Mr. Heghmann. Comments?
Very interesting. There was an offer to repeal and replace Obamacare. A gentleman accepted the offer and gave a donation (consideration) to help them get elected. They got elected and did not uphold their offer. I'm not a lawyer but that seems like a broken contract.
Seems to me, that it is bringing up the FACT, that campaign contributions are BRIBES, to bring about actions that the briber is paying for. And the clearest EVIDENCE that publically financed campaigns are NECESSARY. Unless we want to DISENFRANCHISE all those that do not BRIBE their politician.
Supporting a candidate monetarily is now a bribe? You're funny. Then again, you're still ticked off over the fact that the person that spent the most on her "bribes" wasn't able to win the election. To summarize my thinking on what you said: it's a FACT that people who run for office need to bring MORE to the table than BRIBES. That's the clear EVIDENCE that I SEE, anyway...
