Peppy had a few health issues in 2018, a touch of vertigo that caused him to flop around in a panic to try to get back on his feet and then a couple months ago he had a seizure. He never seemed to be the same after that. I hoped that with the new diet, supplements, and prescription meds Peppy would get better, but it wasn't meant to be. Working midnights I was asleep when the wife woke me up to tell me Peppy was in bad shape. He kept walking around in circles and falling down. I took him outside and he stumbled around like a drunk while walking head first into different objects. He finally made it to the grass and did his business while I ran inside to quickly get a coat. When I came back out he was just laying in the grass, I knew he was telling us he was ready. We took him to the ER and when they brought him out to us he was perfectly still, so still I thought they gave him something to calm him down, the Vet said they didn't give him anything. Yes, he was ready for his next journey. Peppy was one of three foster failures. A foster failure is when you decide to adopt a dog you are fostering for rescue. I wasn't too sure about keeping him because he had a crazy loco barking fit over the slightest things, but he turned out to be alright. He didn't play, but he was always a good boy. He will be deeply missed.
They're never really gone whilst you remember them, I miss my girls and boys but they're always with me in my heart.
Very sad. Had to put down my oldest cat last Thursday. She was with me for 15 years and at about 18 years old had just had enough, according to the vet. It's never easy. Best wishes to you and well done for giving Peppy a loving home.
Condolences. I have been well aquainted with tragedies these least few years, both human and animals. It sucks, but birth guarantees death. I hope my death happens swiftly in my sleep.
