Robert Byrd. Crappy Racist Politician, Excellent Historin! The old man may have been a crazy racist but WOW what an historian. I havent even seen a college professors speak this long without referencing notes. Back in the 90s Byrd would take advantage the open forum in the Senate on Sundays to teach history on the Senate Floor. Every Sunday for one hour he would rise to give a history lesson under the guise of a speech on the line item veto. It wasnt the crazy biased history that liberals are so known for, but, an excellent lesson. Simply Amazing! You can see all of them here.
