The following story is circulating on the web. Has anyone checked it out? If you think it is important to get a President in office that doesn't take a pledge to 1. Support a nationwide ban on same-sex marriage and adoptions 2. Gives his own money to causes to end same-sex marriage Don't you think spending a little time to cross check this article is worthwhile? Personally I'm busy suing all super PAC bullies. All this story requires is someone to check the Cranbrook School Yearbook in Bloomfield Hills Michigan and contact fellow classmates. Here is the article: One day after President Obama announced his support for marriage equality, the Washington Post reports on the early days of Mitt Romney's evolution on equal rights: Mitt Romney returned from a three-week spring break in 1965 to resume his studies as a high school senior at the prestigious Cranbrook School. Back on the handsome campus, studded with Tudor brick buildings and manicured fields, he spotted something he thought did not belong at a school where the boys wore ties and carried briefcases. John Lauber, a soft-spoken new student one year behind Romney, was perpetually teased for his nonconformity and presumed homosexuality. Now he was walking around the all-boys school with bleached-blond hair that draped over one eye, and Romney wasnt having it. He cant look like that. Thats wrong. Just look at him! an incensed Romney told Matthew Friedemann, his close friend in the Stevens Hall dorm, according to Friedemanns recollection. Mitt, the teenaged son of Michigan Gov. George Romney, kept complaining about Laubers look, Friedemann recalled. A few days later, Friedemann entered Stevens Hall off the schools collegiate quad to find Romney marching out of his own room ahead of a prep school posse shouting about their plan to cut Laubers hair. Friedemann followed them to a nearby room where they came upon Lauber, tackled him and pinned him to the ground. As Lauber, his eyes filling with tears, screamed for help, Romney repeatedly clipped his hair with a pair of scissors. [...] It was a hack job, recalled Maxwell, a childhood friend of Romney who was in the dorm room when the incident occurred. It was vicious.
Romney will be fully-vetted, before it is all over. Every candidate goes through the ringer, the good comes out with the bad.
Well yes, every candidate is vetted, more or less. Except in case with obama, bad does not come out and not investigated, or was/is hashed. He 's the Chosen One, you see...
They put Obama through a massively tight ringer; some even questioned his very 'citizenship'. So, let's see what comes of Romney being SQUEEZED ruthlessly and relentlessly by those looking for some 'flaw'. Prove it. I suspect that Romney is under the same system and parameters of scrutiny which Obama was and has been all through his Presidency. Why should the public and professional investigators let-up on Romney. Yours is the BS commentary, you see...
Haven't seen enough info to say whether it's true or not. I doubt it can be verified. Regardless, I expect it will have zero effect on his bid for election. I'm inclined to believe that there are actually quite a few people who would secretly support the alleged actions, even if they would never admit to holding such a position.
