According to the RCP average, Romney now as a favorability rating lead over Obama of almost 3 points.

    Obama & Romney: Favorable/Unfavorable

No question in my mind this is following him killing it at the Al Smith dinner. Who knew he'd have the best delivery of any candidate in recent times. Obama's 2nd debate didn't help much either.

And mind you this is according to in part many liberal pollsters that are doing everything they can to skew the numbers.

So Romney is more likable, and more trusted in the economy. Those are 2 powerful advantages.

I think it started to change after the first debate. Not because he won, but because when the public actually got to see Mitt Romney for the first time, in a 90 minute unfiltered debate, he didn’t appear at all to be the image that had been carefully crafted of him by the media. He didn’t seem to be a racist, sexist, homophobe, or a cross between Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, and Mr. Potter from, It’s a Wonderful Life. Instead they saw a serious competent businessman, not a murder or tax evader.

How Much Is Media Bias Worth?

Yeah, the first debate really did erase millions of dollars Obama spent on attack ads. After that, though, Obama was still edging Mitt of favorability. Something made that jump, unless that was also a residual effect from the 1st debate as well.

Where are you getting 3 points from? According to this, Obama has a 50% RCP average approval, vs 46.2%, around 4%. Mittens is leading by .5%.

agreed that was huge for him - its like when chicks are told to hate some guy blindly because hes a dick, then she meets him and find him charming and end up sleeping with him
