I venture to say the Eventual Nominee for President from the Republican Primaries in 2016 will be....

    a mainstream conservative Governor....

who will be backed by the Big Donors but not so much by the Party Faithful....

who will pander to the Far Right during the Primaries to blunt Far Right favorite sons who are his Primary opponents...

but leave himself some "wiggle room" to tack back to the Center during the General Election....

who the Far Right will be distrustful of....even want to deny the Nomination....but be incapable of doing so....

and then those same Far Right folks will become his biggest defender once the Convention is over and he "comes under attack by the Dems and Lib'rul Media".

And if he loses....those same folks will try to "erase history" and pretend they never supported him or even never voted for him and "knew the whole time that nominating a RINO would cost us another election".

IOW....same scenario that played out with Romney in 2012.

BTW, it goes without saying, given it's the Republican Party, the Nominee will be.....white, of Anglo-Saxon ancestry.....and male.
