Check this out. CNN/ORC Post-Debate Poll: - Who would better handle the economy? 58% - Romney, 40% - Obama - Who would better handle health care? 49% - Romney, 46% - Obama - Who would better handle taxes? 51% - Romney, 44% - Obama - Who would better handle the deficit? 59% - Romney, 36% - Obama This is straight from the debate watchers, mind you. And it's CNN! Source You can try to spin this if you want, but this is pretty good news for Romney. Other polls are showing the same data. People basically thought Obama debated much batter than he did in the first debate, but still took from the debate that Romney would be a better president.
I watched the first debate and Romney won. I watched the second debate and Obama won. Stop being a homer. Try being intellectually honest for once.

Yeah, I've always said Watcher should take a more centralized and official position as the harbinger of all things. I just can't sell the idea to others for some reason.
I thought Romney was too aggressive at times. It hurt him. I think he also missed a great chance to really nail Obama on Libya. To be fair, Obamas strategy of opening the question by accusing Romney of trying to gain political points off of the strategy was smart. It put Romney in a delicate position.
Wow, you are now turning against CNN? These are CNN's numbers. You practically had an orgasm when you heard CNN calling Obama the overall winner. Now you're mad at them for releasing additional polling data? CNN/ORC Post-Debate Poll: - Who would better handle the economy? 58% - Romney, 40% - Obama - Who would better handle health care? 49% - Romney, 46% - Obama - Who would better handle taxes? 51% - Romney, 44% - Obama - Who would better handle the deficit? 59% - Romney, 36% - Obama Sorry if you don't like these numbers, but I'm just the messenger.
The second debate was close. There wasn't a clear winner. It really just depends on which person you agree with more. The fact that the voters who watched the debate trust Romney more on the economy, healthcare, taxes, and the deficit shows that even though it was fairly even as to who "won" the debate, that still didn't change the fact that they see Romney as the better candidate for President. That is pretty telling that Obama is simply a good speaker who has "debate skills", but not a good record to back up his rhetoric.
I dont' think flash polls are any measure of who "won". romney refused once again to offer any details of his tax plan. He merely stated over and over again he was a great business man and his plan would add up because he was a great business man. Wouldn't name ONE deduction he'd remove, not one loophole he'd close. His entire plan seemed to come down to trust me. romney's gotcha big moment on libya went crashing to the ground when Obama calmly stated truthfully. I said it was terrorism the next day in the rose garden - the look on romney's face was priceless and he never recovered. He blew it on contraception claiming he didn't think the government nor employers should deny access to contraceptives, yet obama pointed out romney's repeated statements of getting rid of subsidies planned parenthood. tomorrow that statement will come back to haunt him more when his adamant support for the Blunt amendment, which allows employers to not provide contraception in their health plans due to religious conviction. Another BLUNDER, and then at the end, after getting all the way thru without the 47% statement being brough up he says "he's for 100% of americans" thereby kicking down his own door for Obama to slap him silly in his closing remarks. Another blunder. Oh yeah, Romney kicked ass last night. Too bad it was his own.
Obama won; Romney lost. Debates don't change any votes. They could walk on stage, drop their pants, and take a dump. They would still get 60 million votes.
So why you running from thread to thread whining and claiming Obama won when its clear it was mostly a draw or slight victory for Romney?
