I have only seen these highlights of the debate.

And I am a huge Ron Paul fan.

But, I thought he came across a little bit 'all over the place' tonight.

The other debates I thought he was much clearer and concise. This time he fell into one of his - imo - bad political habits, he sometimes answers questions in a slightly vague, non-concise way and then will go on and on about it.

It's almost like he forgets that most people have not a fraction of his political knowledge. And sometimes he talks like he assumes people know more then they actually do.

That is fine for his supporters or those that know much about the issues.

But, imo, most voters have a very short attention span...and they will just tune out the minute they are not sure what someone is talking about.

If he is going to get the nomination, I think he needs to do more of what he did in the last debates - more clarity and simplicity in his answers.

Or he just will not get the masses to pay attention to him.

I agree. He needs to be more direct and to the point, concise.

How does the guy running 3rd get asked half the questions and air time of the guy running dead last?
    MSNBC is a joke.

Thanks for posting that poll...I guess I really should have watched the whole debate and not just the Ron Paul highlights. He obviously did a lot better then I thought.

Also, when you only see his responses, you miss all the others. And if they are like they normally are..they are woefully inadequate (usually).

    It seems many agreed.

    Bull poop.

Paul SUCKED to everyone who has a clue.

His supporters SHOULD BE HAPPY THE MEDIA doesn't focus on the bumbling..rambling old fool.

His constitutional BS is wearing thin..

While Bachmann was GRILLED on immigration and what to do with the illegals here after the fence was built and secured..Paul didnt have to answer the same question did he..

He wouldn't build the fence.. because it might keep us in ??
EARTH TO PAUL..ever hear the phrase " a fence builds good neighbors..? "

Then since its NOT a CONSTITUTIONAL responsibility to take care of them..or anybody else for that matter..who is going to ?
Why wasn't he asked the ramifications of his constitutional government on all those ideals ?

When HD builds airplanes that crash into the ground..think the private company will take care of you ?
    REALLY ?

NOW about the idiotic ROMNEY MANDATE.
    You drive a car..
You are forced by the states to have insurance..drive sober, and use seat belts..
    You want GOVERNMENT HC ?
YOU allow government to set the rules..
Obama care allowed for ZERO DEBATE..no reading of the bill.. while ROMNEY CARE was a state run deal with broad support in THAT STATE.

Just as states set speed limits..insurance requirements..DUI limits..and
The FEDERAL Government has A SOCIAL SECURITY REQUIREMENT of every worker. That is a MANDATE.

Paul IF he had a SET might have mentioned that the constitution doesn't allow for that either..

and that would be just as STUPID.

He said he dislike all Mandates from the Federal Government and even specified such Programs are left to the 10th Amendment. Also if Ron Paul was actually given time to speak more than 5-7 times he wouldn't have come off as a Weak Debator. The entire debate was for entertainment purpose for a Perry vs. Romney vs. Huntsman.... It was sad seeing three people hog over an hours worth of time.

I was hoping the Forums would limit your posts because of your constant ramblings of nothingness but, I see it isn't doing its job.

I like Paul, but he came off as a buffoon last night with his incessant ramblings about how it's wrong for the government to do anything, the market will magically fix everything, blah blah blah.

Now, don't try to drag the board down to your level. That sucking sound you heard is the vacuum between your ears.

They did go after Ron Paul on his latest ad and, as I predicted, he took them to school...in the Reagan Library no less!!

If you so hate the Constitution, feel free to exit anytime you wish. You'll be doing yourself, and the country, a huge favor.

    Maybe try Venezuela?

He also made a point to say there would be a transition time. Also, when he talks about less government, it's the FEDERAL government he's talking about. It's about returning power to the states. He's not trying to recreate the Wild West...just to get the Federal govt properly reigned in as called for in the Constitution.

Why do you have such a problem with a lawful government?

And yet, according to the above linked poll, he easily won the debate.

Maybe it's you who does not have a clue on this matter?

We already know you are rather obsessed with hating Ron Paul.

You seem to go to every thread about him and just spew bile.

    Strange, IMO.

    Have a happier day.

I don't know what is sadder - the twitching mental patient named Ron Paul mucking up our electoral process every 4 years, or his slack mouthed followers.

And yet you apparently take the effort to come to his threads to insult others.

That speaks volumes about you, IMO.

yes.. we have Paul supporters complaining on every thread their guy is getting screwed.
Then we have someone wanting LESS debate on HIS principles and their tactics.

Made up polls.. straw ballots..threats..it's been done before..
    2 other times.
Paul has Nothing without the blame the media I cant win tactic.
I REFUSE to let the Republican party be run by libertarians bent on destroying the rule of law..common sense and reality.

You can have your fantasy football..this is real world politics.. legalized war.

Paul is refusing to play by the rules..and I will continue to point that out.
    Obama said the same thing..
I am not giving another freak of politics a chance to experiment with my country.

When you ever get over 15 % then you can make DEMANDS of the media.
Until then..enjoy your kingdom and its emperor with no support.

    Okaaaay....

And just what exactly are you going to do if Ron Paul gets the nomination; since you 'refuse' to let him?

    Hmmm...

Click on the made up poll on Msnbc..
Idiots..it is just Paul supporters voting over and over on a LIBERAL forum poll.
    No scientific basis..No polling data.

    This is made up Garbage.
another straw poll for a straw man.

read the comments..Paul is the winner...the best..even if he only got 3 questions.

    You guys never give up..

and I'll never give in.

I think part of the problem is that the governmnet has grown to the point that we all think we will be dying in the streets if government is not in control of everything. You then have only one candidate out there challenging these notions in a very long time. As a result, he sounds like a crazy man.

The nanny state grew in increments. After all, can you imagine a politician like Obama 100 years ago? He would sound like a crazy man. Give billions of tax payer money to large corporations? Force us to buy health care or throw us in jail? Er....um....yea. Your nuts.

As for myself, I know that Ron Paul will not get nominated, so I intend on writing him in as a protest vote.

How can Paul voters vote 'over and over again' if you have to have a separate profile (and I assume a separate email) for every vote?

Is the poll scientific? Of course not - no one said it was.

But the other candidates supporters could post just as easily as Paul supporters...yet he got far more support.

You know your negative obsession with Ron Paul is really getting creepy.

Your not going to go Jack Ruby on us if he wins are you?

psstt..hey there is a poll on msnbc after the debate..get all your friends and Paul supporters together and flood the poll....we'll turn the event into a victory..

These polls which have the people come to them instead of the professional data collectors coming to the voters is a rigged game.
Exactly the same tactic as Paul used in 08.

    This is politics ..not personal..
I point out the method the madness and you attack on a personal note.
I would love a real debate libertarians...

    1. The Southern Calif >power outage...power transmitted across state lines.. libertarians tell us how less government rules and allowing states to regulate themselves would be better..SEE Calif..
The rest would always be bailing out failed less government states.
    Same with water property rights..

so you can talk all you want..until you are faced with real world situations and show or LEAD by example..I'll side with the evil 2 party deal.

Bringing home all the troops is a great idea..no walls..wow..sunshine and lollipops..
Who could ever argue against that ?

Problem is, he isn't ever given enough time to express himself, and, since he actually has a lot to say, meaningful at that, and he has to stuff the few minutes allotted to him with as much as possible, he does indeed come across as being all over the place.
Its not him, its those who don't want to hear him out.
Its about time people listen to the man.

Because some of the other supporters for real candidates feel this tactic is just plain Stupid..its showing support when there is NONE.

But I suppose if you took a Harlem poll after Obama's speech he would have had 90 % support.

    Can you see anything there..??

Paul is wasting valuable airtime..and driving a wedge between some republicans..he is doing the dems a favor.
    Plain and simple.

Paul could come out with position papers..
Be Force full when he does get the time..

All he is ..is anti- establishment.
which is fine until he ever wins another election,.that he wont.
I hate rain..but arguing against ending all rain is just silly..because real reality shows no rain is worst that sometimes too much rain..
    Substitute Federal government for Rain.

Paul's warped sense of simple constitutional power sounds pleasant..but only if he leads ?
Give me a break..the guy has no political savvy to get anything done..

or show us the details..of his support .. besides.msnbc rigged polls.
