'NEW CASTLE — The New Hampshire Young Republicans held a straw poll for the GOP presidential candidates during a lobster bake in New Castle, on Saturday, and U.S. Rep. Ron Paul dominated, according to WMUR.

Several presidential candidates were in attendance, including Herman Cain, Thaddeus McCotter, Gary Johnson, Buddy Roemer and Fred Karger.

U.S. Rep. Ron Paul received 45 percent of the votes cast, the television station reported. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was the only other candidate in double digits, picking up 10 percent of the votes....'

I listened to him speak a little while ago on CNN.

At first I thought the man was nuts...but now I really like what he has to say.

Ron Paul may get my vote.

I encourage people to listen to him...just listen to what he has to say...then make up your own mind.

The man thinks like a 19th century secessionist. Why do I want to listen to that?

Yeah... why would a 16th Century Imperialist who constantly spouts "For King and Country" in nearly every Statement really consider his words?

Straw polls are for straw men.
Kids might study about that for a bit.

    That's why under 18 don't have a vote...
Promise them free ice cream and win.

The people are really finally waking up to this crap, yes I know we have all known it for years but I do not think the general public realized how bad it is. When a party gathers votes on nothing more than promising pay checks to people you can not put any serious faith in their platform. Heck the minorities they bait are much more conservative then the party they elect, which means they are voting against their own beliefs for a buck.

This vote buying decays the morals and the very fiber of our society, how can a people prosper when they are voting against the very things that holds them together as families. The Democratic party obviously believes happiness is brought by a free buck, and the hell with the family.
I say as a society we can do a hell of a lot better than this, and ask yourself, has it worked so far? has it EVER?

1st is the idiotic "buy your straw" vote in IOWA ..a state that doesn't really matter.
    Ever.

now this straw vote WIN ?

    300 kids?

Paul supporters are really grasping at straws..
and FLOUNDER is spot on about promising empty entitlements to win elections.

Then blaming the opposite party when reasonable people say enough is enough.

or in the case of democrats.

    anti-Union rats.
anybody not of their 'color of the moment'..
anybody that has more than they do..
    Corporations..big or small..

    and the never win libertarians?
    They blame everybody else..
Despite never gaining enough support anywhere.

So any 300 win in any vote is a great victory...
    Even in a rigged scheme
Same with the cleverly crafted polls.
and the sheep just stand by grazing peacefully.

And who in this thread has said that his winning that poll was a big deal? Or at all significant?
I just posted it for the heck of it.

Strange how you keep coming back to tell us what we already know.

You must either really hate Ron Paul and/or are really bored.

Are you sure the reason you don't like him isn't really because his name is similar to that of a drag queen musician? We are talking about Ron Paul for
    President, Ron Paul.. not RuPaul.
