These disturbing reports surfaced a couple of days ago, but for some reason have gone mainly unnoticed. Rod Rosenstein has basically undertaken another politically motivated DOJ witch hunt, that dwarfs the one already underway. Rosenstein's proposed "team" will consist of as many as 100 full time lawyers, tasked with reviewing tomes of Kavanaugh decisions and legal opinions. The DOJ has never committed so many resources towards "vetting" a SCOTUS nominee, and never has a US AG involved himself personally in the process. Congress needs to relieve Rosenstein of his duties through impeachment, as Sessions appears overwhelmed. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...avanaugh-papers-in-unusual-request/ar-AAzW5ZB Rosenstein clearly aims to derail, or block Kavanaugh's confirmation, and he's sparing no (DOJ / taxpayer) expense in doing it. Congress needs to at least exercise it's "power of the purse strings" to impose reasonable restraint of this partisan fishing expedition
Maybe. According to The New York Times, the need to tap federal prosecuters' offices is driven by manpower needs. Democrats are demanding so many documents for their witch hunt of Kavanaugh, that the normally used offices don't have enough staff to fulfill the requests. It's a win-win for Democrats. It delays confirmation proceedings and takes prosecutors away from prosecuting crimes. It's a small victory for the pro-crime Democrats. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/11/us/politics/rosenstein-kavanaugh-document-review-prosecutors.html
Your ringing endorsement duly noted. And like the "nuclear option" of mr Reid that you supported that you now squeal about, remember that you support it now. The rest of us can remind you of it later...
I think confirmation is pretty simple. The White House knows who the swing voters are. Have Kavanaugh meet with those in private, and let the hearings begin. Nuke em!
Rosenstein gives us cause for concern. Another politically tainted DOJ witch hunt, absent congressional oversight? That's just what this country needs. I'd like to see a list of the prosecutors Rosenstein personally recruited. (D)'s next to how many of their names?
WTF does Rosenstein have ANY say in this? Did Sessions recuse himself to an Alabama golf course on every issue? I don't see the logic.
It seems like Rosenstein wants to underwrite another DOJ "insurance policy". Rosenstein's either so desperate, or so confident that congress, and Trump are so powerless that he openly uses the DOJ to conduct opposition research? This guy is out of control.
Sessions needs to kick him with a hob-nailed boot and tell him to stand down. This entire Strzok can is getting kicked down the road covering up depths of corruption as deep as the Grand Canyon..
