In 1920, Socialist Party presidential candidate, Eugene V. Debs, ran from his jail cell. Debs had been sentenced for opposing the United States entry into World War I. He received about 3% of the popular vote.

All Eugene Debs buttons are scarce and popular collectors items. This one is at the top of many collectors' lists if they are interested in Debs' political career.
