Some U.S posters need to wake up and smell the coffee. The Russian plane completely disabled the U.S most sophisticated system AEGIS. In short, back to the drawing board. You have a lot of catching up to do. Russkies are ahead.

This article was never followed up with a single source.

People on the ship were interviewed and found it to be a complete lie.

    More Russian propaganda

Yes, one ship was hit while at anchor and the other hit a score of times while virtually undefended...When the Japanese sent hundreds of planes after ships that were defended and moving, they lost hundreds of aircraft.

    It did sound like BS

Sour grapes buddies. AEGIS has become useless peace of equipment. It will take years to fix it. Get over it and start working on the better system. Denying something ad nausem it won't change the fact that the Russian fighter jet completely disabled AEGIS and in the process totally humiliated the U.S navy.

Lets not exagerate, the Russian military is capable, but would be completely outclassed in full scale war with the USA>

There is no doubt that the U.S Army is much better equipped and financed than the Russian Army. Just compare the budget. The U.S military budget is simply insane. However there are certain areas in which Russkies have the upper hand. Electronic warfare - the above example, it really happened, the U.S navy command was completely taken aback - shell shocked. More importantly for Russians, their nuclear arsenal is superior to the USA. If, God forbid, some lunatics in Washington D.C decided to start the real war against Russia, I have no doubts that Russians would retaliate with the nuclear weapons. That's their best bet as they cannot single-handedly engage in full scale war with the USA/NATO.

Wilful blindness is such a depressing condition, don't you think? You only see what you want to see.

The article was copied from Voltaire.net which has excellent intelligence connections, and which cited a Russian newspaper as a source of some of its information. It also cited as a source the Global Security Newswire report of the Pentagon issuing a protest to Russia about the incident. Others have also discussed the incident including Defence Radar, a military news website - amongst many others.

America protesting to Russia about the incident itself shows the lack of leadership of Obama Administration.

As it was my point, I feel it applies. Simply listing a series of paper capabilities does not tell the full story. It's like the Russians supersonic transport plane. Once one gets past the hype one finds it is at least a decade away and only then if they can figure a way to make it work..

Beside, technical data is all fine and dandy but when was the last time the russian flew combat missions against an enemy air force of any worth? How did the Migs and Sukhoi performed against the west in the last 30 years?

So you have a regime pumping out design after design to be flown by inexperience combat pilots who will have to go against experienced Nato pilots who have flown, engaged and destroyed the opposing air forces flying russian designs for the last 30 years... Yeah this will turn out well...

The U.S. does not nead to use Nuclear Weapons.

We have the RODS OF GOD system.....which are multile waiting to be launched Orbital Platforms that hold between 12 and 18 Telephone sized Depleated Uranium warapped in Tungston Steel RODS that each have a small rocket engine on the end of each one.

They once launched reenter the Earth;s Atmosphere at velocitied between 24,000 to 36,000 mph and when they strike their target THE KINETIC TRANSFERENCE OF THE IMPACT IS EQUAL TO A NUCLEAR WEAPON DETONATION!!!

Add to this the MEB....Microwave Emmisions Beam....and the FEL....Free Electron Laser and the new Non-Nuclear EMP....Electromagnetic Pulse Devices that the small one's can be carried within the internal Bomb Bay's of an F-22 or F-35 and the larger one's carried by B-2's.....we can render Russia's ENTIRE MILITARY INERT.

So I and others like me are really not concerned about Russia.

Russia is NOT going to be launching any Nukes....aminly because Russia knows that would be the end of Russia and as well the U.S. already has a very good and OPERATIONAL MISSILE DEFENSE SYSTEM that WORKS!!

Look at the name of the LINK you have provided......teapartyeconomist.com/.

You think they might have an AGENDA as far as talking about how Pentagon Money is spent??

All U.S. Naval Ships ARE PROTECTED FROM EMP'S....ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSES......which is the only thing short of a HACKING IN OF THE U.S. NAVIES FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM...which ain't gonna happen....that could do this.

    Thus....IT DIDN'T HAPEN!!

Speaking of having an agenda….. do you think that perhaps I have gone a little too hard on U. N. inspectors here?
