No American I talk to gives a **** about Ukraine. They don't care nor understand any of it. American's will get tired of it eventually, especially if they continue to see billions pour in as we face the worst inflation in 40 years. Let's hope this whole thing ends soon. Let the euros figure it out.

This is where you are wrong. I have been over to these countries the past year. They all love their freedom and the vast majority of people in Ukraine, Poland and Finland HATE Russia and communism. They love their freedom. None of these countries are pawns of the USA as they are all independent and only gather arms for self defense against dictators like Putin and Russia who oppress their people. They continually live under the fear that the crazy Putin and tyrannical Russia will invade them.

If Russia never invaded Ukraine, there would be NO threat of Nuclear war. Besides, Russia is the country threatening Nuclear war, no other country has done so. Russia is the aggressor here. Nothing you can say can deny that truth.

It will. I think by the end of the summer, Russia will have no military left. The effects of the sanctions will be felt in full. There is a good chance that Russia will fall apart - without the military they won’t be able to stop the breakup.

Ain't that the truth. Beijing would be happy with a bipolar world....and it knows it can't get rid of the US. ;)

China will buy up anything or anyone it deems useful at bargain basement prices. China also has BIG issues with water scarcity. Siberia has lots of water & not many people. Hmmmm, I wonder if Beijing might see a solution there???

Ah... it's not Putin in your sights but..... Biden.
I do like that word 'deflection', so does Putin.
I am glad Putin could announce finding an American bio-lab in Ukraine.
But the week before it was discovery of plans for America to invade Russia.
... deflection from how Putin is reducing Ukrainian cities to something like Grozny and Aleppo.

Trent Telenko, who has a very good twitter feed on the nuts & bolts of Russian logistics predicted that Russia would be running out of military trucks about now. Current offensives may therefore be relying on civilian trucks, which are not a good replacement.

If that is all correct Russia is not only going to struggle to run offensives, it may struggle to support more static forces that are not on easy to access supply routes.

Provided Ukraine can stay in the fight Russia is going to struggle.

    Yup...good article.

Arestovich is rather accurate....Dwarfstan should cut his losses now.....divert them to the Far East in Siberia where China's chances have never been brighter.

Wait....no, let Ukraine destroy Dwarfs military....let China have Siberia....:)

We are pouring gasoline on the fire, and we run a tiny risk of getting blasted into oblivion. I'm not sure what the war is doing for us or anyone else. Maybe Ukraine is benefiting.

No, I'd say we're fighting the fire quite effectively. We and the Euros and others as a team.

    CNN
Kharkiv: Russian general who oversaw atrocities in Syria led cluster bomb attacks in Ukraine - CNN

Exclusive: Russian general who oversaw atrocities in Syria led cluster bomb attacks
    on civilians in Ukraine

Zhuravlyov's leadership catalyzed the assault on eastern Aleppo. After he took the reins, the Russian military rapidly
ramped up its attacks on the rebel-held territory and completed the siege of the densely populated city, exacting a
large death toll and setting the wheels in motion for a tactic that has defined Russia's intervention in Syria: besiege,
starve, bombard and grind into submission.
His period of command also saw a dramatic increase in documented cluster munition attacks in Aleppo.
According to the Violations Documentation Center, which documents human rights violations in Syria, cluster
munitions were used 137 times in Aleppo between September 10 and October 10, 2016, a 791% increase on the
average number of cluster munition attacks in the previous eight months.

In 2015, Russia's Defense Ministry denied using cluster munitions in Syria.

Look on the bright side. If you are a gay black or transvestite in the television commercial market your unemployment rate is virtually 0.

That's not isolationist. Its the exact opposite. The US took proactive diplomatic & economic action against Japan in consultation with other friendly Western Governments. Isolationism is making the deliberate decision to stay on the sidelines and not get involved.

Nasty stuff war .. but what does this have to do with this fantasy you put forth about the Arab Spring being the Anti Assad fighting force in Syria. You say you like deflection .. this is not a surprise.

Why are you so desperate to apologize for and minimize the mass atrocity in Syria .. brought on by your beloved Islamic State .. and Team Captain Biden.

Yes 'we' did. And that is not an example of isolationist foreign policy. Your point?

Your grasp of history and the impact on America's isolationist polices in the 1920-30s on both the national and international level is woeful.
